  • Someday I’d love to get in touch with one of the goldsmiths and learn this craft when it’s financially feasible for me to travel and pay them for their time, but for now, I’ll learn a closely related textile version of this. I’ve had this tambour embroidery kit for almost a year but I’m glad I finally have the perfect opportunity to use it!
Happy Filipino-American History Month!! One thing I love about October is that I’m always learning something new about Filipino history and textiles (and now jewelry!), and Filipino-American culture as it evolves in the States. With Halloween at the end of the month, I’ve been burning the midnight oil working on cosplays, so some of the knowledge and inspiration from my research usually seeps into the silhouettes I draft and accessories I wear. (Hint hint?? Hmmm)
Anyways, thank you again to Christine from Amami for being super accommodating with me when I had literally only one free day to receive the package before I travelled out of the area again🥹 I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on that payneta!!
