Yá’át’ééh and thank you for watching this video. Make sure to watch my most recent film about the Navajo nation in which I search for the language and it's speakers in Monument Valley!

I am part Dine', I am the third man.
We’re you successful ?
As a Navajo I like to watch videos about my tribe and point out stuff they got worng but yours was spot on.
Happy that John Ford did his research, first! Navajo Nation is so beautiful! I had the honor and privilege of meeting Navajo Medicine Man, Herman Chee near Gouldings Trading Post (2009)
Aye bro I just found out I was Navajo, or at least my ancestors were. Do you have a instagram I can DM so I can get more information about the history?
I’m an African man and have a deep deep love for the Navajo culture. This was a great video
I cannot believe I was ashamed of my own culture during my upbringing. But Hollywood has depicted a negative image of the Diné. Which led to my embarrassment. But as I matured, i am now proud to be Diné.
I'm happy for you. No one should be embrassed for what they are. I've had the same riduclude when I was younger.
@@leefrancis4565 I can only imagine. I hope all is well now.
@@teaganna5970 Even my Pastor lost his 39 year old son to the virus.
@@leefrancis4565 Wow, that's upsetting. My sister was diagnosed too. Fortunately she pulled through it.
@@teaganna5970 So young to lose your life especially when you leave a family behind.
My son is half Navajo I live on the reservation for 3 years my sons mom is Navajo
Yá’át’ééh , great video. Definitely one of the better ones I have seen about the Navajo. I am full blooded Dine' and want to thank you for putting together a quality vid man. I did not grow up on the reservation, but instead lived in Flagstaff. However, I did spend plenty of time on the reservation as a child. Thank you for the video! "Walk in beauty"
Edgar B. Nizhónígo ałhééhosiilzįįd. I love your culture and thank you for keeping it alive my friend, language and all. I can’t wait to go back to the reservation (I’m from Phoenix). It is only a matter of time :)
I watch this video and wondered what it would be like to truly visit and live and learn from Dine', get around the Navajo Nation in the right way, and not as a white brute, but as a humble guest. This will go on my bucket list now. To travel the Navajo the way it should be, for a week, 2 or maybe even 3, in fact let it take as long as it has to. :). Being European this is not something one can just do :)
Yá'at'ééh
Greetings from an asian person, very beautiful vid. Āmerica is a stolen nation. Save the tribes!!
Yo im from flag to
Hi I'm from Ireland and I lived on the navajo Reservation for a while with my ex husband and his family in Lukachukai. It was different for me but also beautiful. I treasure those memories and still have contact with some of my navajo family. Greetings from Ireland xxx
Helen Kiely-O'Regan awesome, you ever consider coming back to visit?
im from dublin ireland and looking at road trip here, then on to zion, flying solo too, be tuff
Wow, that sounds incredible. I'm American and I've always been fascinated by the Navajo and it's beautiful culture. I was lucky enough to visit briefly when I was 12, but I've been wanting to go back and learn more.
@John Brennan huh ! Did not know that. Tibetans from Tibet ! - Have to Google it out.
Lol john Brennan, what kind of "agenda" influenced trash are you reading? I've studied haplo groups and current to date anthropological evidence on my people and some say we have even been here even longer than 12 years.....some thing even as far back as 17,000 years. The research behind the longest dates some are not highly accepted...but not as bad as your info.
Yá’át’ééh thank you for this video man. I am Native American and I have family that live on the Navajo Reservation. I consider it to be 1 of the 2 reservations that I have grown up on and I’m proud as fuck to say that. Again, thank you for the recognition bro
A native American with a Welsh first name! It was so interesting to watch TJ's vid and learn about your people, Rhys. For all the differences, there are some parallels with the fate of Welsh language and culture.
Thank you for your work in this video. I’ve attended Navajo Nation Fair many times...traveling from Missouri, Kansas, Texas and the Pacific Northwest. Even as a child, I was intrigued by all things having to do with this proud people. My prayer is that this mystical land and culture continues for centuries to come.
I grew up in Arizona my grandfather spoke fluent Navajo he was one of the few white people that spoke Navajo he taught me the history and language of the Navajo people I’m grateful he did even though my bloodline comes from far away I’m Arizonan till my last breath and the beauty and hardships that come with it
Did u know novajo have a Statue who has a story?
I am 23% Navajo and I want to learn everything about them
I'm proud to be Diné
I learned today about the Navajo culture. Coming from South America, we know just about the western movies, that put the native americans in different position. Thank you so much for the information..I would visit one day... presentation was very well done ✅
Great video! Even though I am half Navajo, I still know a lot about Navajo culture. I wasn’t raised in the reservation, but my dad was, I visit the reservation about 5 times a year. But there is one thing about the culture you forgot, skinwalkers...And not to mention some Navajo last names got changed. For example, my last name used to be “Ashéé’éé” it got changed to Ashley. ;(
Oh no! I knew about the skinwalkers (yee naaldlooshii), I forgot to put those in the script :( Thank you for watching, Nizhónígo Nee Ado’ááł!
I'm half as well! But I'm ¼ white and ¼ ute the kids here treat me different because I'm not full Navajo it really sucks
No matter how much milk you put in your coffee it will always still be a coffee
Would you like to tell us more about Skinwalker as per Navajo culture? I have been reading about it a lot lately but would love to know from someone who is that close to the culture like yourself
Loved this! I’m on a healing journey out west and there is something beautiful and healing about the native world view that needs to prevail within America.
eliwj thank you! I wholeheartedly agree
I love being half Navajo. I love when I visit my family's rez, Jeddito.
I am so grateful for the Navajo Code talkers. I find myself wishing our Native Americans would not share their languages with non natives. They saved our country along with all the military branches. I visited a family member who lived in the Nation when I was 15 or 16. Navajo Nation has been in my heart.
I can understand why native people are protective of sacred ceremonies, but keeping the language from the world only makes it to die easier. Languages live from being spoken. And to be honest some native languages are fucking fascinating.
U Navajo going to die in get in slaved for what y’all did
Code talkers were only experimental & are stolen Valor, wear so many ribbons not earned, study history
Very impressive documentary! Pretty simple but encompassing overview of Navajo land, people, and culture! There are some phrasing quabbles I have, but excellent study! I’m most impressed with all the landscapes you included, more than any other documentary, I feel this is one of the best representations of Navajo land. Keep going and exploring!
You have potential this was very well made and informative. Keep learning the languages as well. New sub.
Entertainment 101 thank you! I hope you also will enjoy my newer videos too
@@ThePlanetProject I'll definitely check them out.
TJ - Once again, your ability to tell a story is beautiful! Loved the images, music, and script.
Thank you! This was one of my first projects so it was so fun to make
Amazing work! It helped me to understand better the Navajo culture and I can’t wait to visit these stunning places one day. Hágoónee’ and all the support from Slovakia 🇸🇰
Thanks for watching! Can't wait to go back to Slovakia soon
This is a wonderful film on the Navajo. I am Lakota descendent from South Dakota (Halfblood, Grandmother was Lakota). Philámayayapi
Thank you for this video. The Diné are a resilient and strong people. Those of us in Northern Arizona know this, whether we are Diné or not, Indigenous or not. Praying for better days for the Diné, all Indigenous peoples, all people of the USA, and all beings of the world 🌎💜
Ahehee, you have done well to capture my people's land history, you have moved me to tears by how you handled our heritage respectfully.
I also come from the Navajo tribe and its really beautiful out here please if you stop here try out fry bread and visit many of our cultures
I’m Puerto Rican, and I’m so fascinated with native tribes
If ur Porter Rican, u also got a tribe!
That was beautifully done! Thank you! ☮️
This is a great video. I learned a lot. Thank you! 🙏✨
I have watched this video for homework
Hello (Yá'át'ééh), thank you coming to Navajo land (Diné bikéyah). I was born and raised on the rez so I'm happy to look back at this video as I go to college in Tucson. ❤
The rock formations in the arizona Navajo side are beyond compelling and beautiful. It’s depicted in movies and Disney films for a reason. Those mountains are breath taking. I love those type of mountains. I knew a friend from the hualapai tribe and Mojave tribe in northwestern arizona . There land is beyond gorgeous and so is the culture
I just moved to Arizona from Michigan. I' m facinated with the Navajo people and their art.
Despite myself being a white man, I love to learn about the cultures and traditions of both people like me (Scots, Nords, etc) and people unlike me. It's so interesting to be to be able to acquire so much information about such an amazing and wonderful people. I have the utmost respect for you and your community.
What the hell does the colour of skin have to do with learning about other cultures?
super cool video!!!!!!
Well done! I enjoyed your video. Thank you. I am full Navajo.
Beautiful documentary, touched my soul. I'm from England but have a longing to visit. My heart has such a reaction of love and sadness. I've tried twice and been thwarted both times. 🧬♾️🐝🙂🕊💚🙏
I’ve always been fascinated about Native American tribes. Thank you for this video.
i liked the Navajo land 4 corners you can feel the calm and open air. its different from my desert like the red soil. like your culture and people❤🌲🌲
I’m actually not Navajo, but I love the culture and history of the region. Thanks for enjoying!
I really enjoyed listening to this short about the Navajo people. Their history is unique..
I remember Four Corners when it was dirt.
What a beautiful video. Thank you so much.
A few minutes ago I finished reading the book 'Talking God' by Tony Hillerman, where I learned about Navajo tribe. I got interested in the tribal culture.
Your video brought to me what I intended to know. Really a great documentary, from the filming to the narration to even the background music, it was awesome. Thanks for the content.
Yá'át'ééh, I find the Navajo culture absolutely incredible and I want to learn everything about it! I'm even trying to learn Navajo
Good video. You speak very clearly and concisely
Thank you!
Great video thank you
I love how gentle he is explaining my native peoples background.
Respect to the Navajo Nation ! ❤
Yá át ééh shik'is. Thanks for that video. I'm only half Diné (half Mexican). From New Mexico and there is nothing like how beautiful our culture is. Indigenous Pride Always!
I live in Flagstaff but my job (with Arizona Public Service) often took me onto the rez, particularly around the Tuba City area. The more contact I had with the Dine' the more I appreciated the culture, and saw how much benign neglect and contamination had damaged the culture. I'm pretty sure gangs, alcohol and drugs were never part of traditional culture.
I especially miss the people who worked at the APS office in Tuba City. When I visited there (I was in IT field support) I had to apologize for not being able to clean up that corner of the office well. I teased them that our motto was "Walk in Beauty; Work in Ugly." I especially miss the man who was the district serviceman there for so many years. Highway 89 took his life.
Nice job on this video.
Outstanding presentation and keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing this video, your culture is so beautiful and I am so impressed with it. I am a native of the Borneo archipelago, the Dusun tribe. While my grandfather was still alive in the 70s he was the head of the tribe (Native Chief) to our tribe, after he died half of my family convert to Christianity & and another half accepted Islam which means we no longer practice old rituals but all those rituals remain fresh in my memory.
Thank you for enjoying! While Navajo culture is extremely interesting, I am actually not Navajo but I am deeply interested in the culture. Borneo is also such an interesting island, and I can’t wait to make films there about the lost languages spoken 🇲🇾 🇮🇩 🇧🇳
Da Neh, I treasure the years spent working near Aneth, and the amazing men who worked with me. How I wish we could reconnect after these 35 years 🙏 young man, you have done amazing job with your research and presentation👍 thank you for sharing your work with us 🙏
Much love from Farmington,NM Navajo Nation the 505🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Aw I miss that place even though I’m less than 5 hours away 😅
Absolutely amazing great job!!! Thank you!!
Ryan Lee thank you too!
It will feel good to go back home to rez where I'm born from and to roam free again. Ride a bike on the reservation dirt roads free as an eagle.
Couldn't have said it better ❤
Nice work!! Thank you Well done

Thank you for this. I did some work in and around Ft. Defiance many years ago. I can’t forget the unique beauty of the land. It’s nice to see it again.
That’s awesome! Both times I’ve gone to the Navajo Nation I’ve always been so amazed by its nature and people, it’s always a treat to go back 🙌
I spent two weeks in Navajo reservation at twin wells school, one girl asked me if I had kids she said she would go home with me. Was an awesome experience for beautiful spirit
Excellent presentation!
The Hopi nation inside the Navajo nation is also a beautiful land and culture. Much love to the first nation peoples of the world, and all peoples of every nation.
I can’t wait to visit!

Thank you for enjoying! I love the Navajo nation, I just went back this week to film a new video too!
awesome video. very informational.
Well done. Visited Navajo nation once and got to sleep in a hoagie. Trip of a lifetime. Got to meet a Navajo marine who took me on a tour of the scared lands. He told me that Navajo have the highest percentage of people serving in the US military than any ethnic group. American flags flying everywhere.
Love from Mexico!!!!!!
I live in Arizona for all of my life and I like the heat of the dessert
Very informative - well done nice music. Thank you!
Man watching this makes me feel proud to be even half Navajo and everyday I talk to my grandma in Navajo sh*t I even decided to learn the national anthem in Navajo that's how proud I am. A'hee'yáh'éé shí qexís (Thank you my friend sorry still learning how to write Navajo)
Beautiful video.🪶❤️

Awesome job on this video! 👏🏽 👌🏽😁
Great informative video!! , but it is very difficult to hear the VoiceOver because the background noises are so loud
This is amazing 🤩
Yá’ át’ééh! Greetings from a land far away. Thank you very much for sharing this video. Navajo nation is truly magnificent and beautiful. Someday I hope I visit this majestic nation and to get to know the Dine' culture. I was fortunate to have had a chat friend from Ganado some 16 yrs ago and through her, I came to know The Navajo Code Talkers. Amazing!
Tsoh naatʼáanii
Ahéheeʼ . My greatest time in my career was time while i worked in Navajo Nation . Thank you again, "Grand Chief"
Cherish and respect the land. Love our Earth.
Thank you I needed this for work I didn’t understand about Navajo before but now I do thank you.
Thank u so much for educating people about us Navajo. This makes me home sick. We moved to Clermont Florida a few years ago. Such a big change! But while living here people will automatically start talking to us in Spanish everywhere we go. We respond with sorry I am Navajo and don’t understand Spanish. 99% of them will ask us what is Navajo? It gets very frustrating, sad and annoying that they have no idea we exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very informative thanks
The only problem is that this is too short!
What a great video.
Thank you!
THANKS FOR THIS FANTASTIC TOUR. I COULDN'T MAKE UP MY MIND ONE DAY I'D (VISIT) THE YARD OF OF COYOTE AND ROAD RUNNER. ALL THE WAY FROM BRASIL. LIVE LONG AND PROSPER
My stomping grounds! Loved my Navajo brothers. To this day, they don't want to live like us. They don't believe in ownership.
My beautiful state I live in Arizona
I admire this young man for his project on this video. The Navajo people are a very wonderful people. I have known many Navajo's in my life time and I love them. Thank you for this wonderful video of one of my favorite Native American people.
