I’m full Navajo. I enjoyed this video! But I was raised in both the city and the reservation. It was a struggle being on the reservation.

Thank u for ur interest and educating others of our culture. We Native Americans seem like we r forgotten about or ignored. I am originally fr the four corners (NM) but now live in Clermont FL. Here when introducing myself people ask me about my ethnicity automatically thinking I’m Spanish, I’ll answer no I’m Navajo, their immediate response is “what is that?” “What does that mean?”. It is very insulting and disrespectful.
Once again thank u for educating others. Yes we do exist and we are not only in the Navajo Reservation we are across the world.

Miss Shandiin Parrish did an amazing job during the pandemic. She reigned for 2 years, that’s never been done before. She is a hero and was exactly what we needed as a nation, a true matriarch, and mother to the Navajo people.

Very informative video, thank you! I have been to Monument Valley. I had no idea the Navajo were forced off their land at one point. Glad they got it back, though.

Fantastic video. Wish I had seen this 2 years ago. We moved to Arizona 2 years ago (below Tucson) and are planning a discovery trip, mostly in and around the Navajo nation. Your video has given me a lot of information and excitement for our upcoming journey. I am now a subscriber to your videos. Thanks for doing these videos.

We only had a few hours in the morning. However, that was back in 2019. I think the walk that we took has since been closed. You may have to book a guided tour from Chinle in which case you will need at least half a day.

When I was a child, my family and I would Easter egg hunt every Easter at Monument Valley. We have land there. It was always amazing and surreal to “egg-hunt” on popular land, but it’s our land.
When going to the visitor center to enter the land, we don’t get charged. Visitors do.
Oh, I sure do miss my hometown. Haven’t been there in a hot minute! Thank you, for this video.

It’s a taboo to walk through the “Rock with Hole Through It”. It’s a portal from the 3rd world. Navajos say Earth is the the 4th world.
