Learning to climb? Tryfan Bach - A great place for a first trad lead!

This was a lovely morning of Autumn trad climbing on Tryfan Bach, giving Abi the chance for her first ever trad lead. Tryfan Bach, in the Ogwen valley is a brilliant location for an introduction to trad techniques with several really accessible 2 pitch routes with easy belay stances and plenty of options for placing gear. This was our last chance to get out and climb before Winter arrived and the 3rd lockdown kept us at home!

Lovely video. It feels a long , long way away until we are allowed back out again with lockdowns etc doesn't it but I'm sure it will come soon enough.

Absolutely! I had a client on there in pouring rain and we still had a cracking day. You need to dress well for it and choose appropriate routes for the conditions. Cheers.
