Excellent!! Just what I was looking for to give me some pointers on the F-5E FC!! I would LOVE to see a Radar tutorial for it. I found the In Game Training/Tutorial a bit confusing, but have to go back and do it again. These "simplified" FC3 radars are sometimes harder to come to grips with than the Full Fidelity radars due to the lack of fine control.
@@bobt223 thanks for your nice words. If I get a chance I’ll put together a radar tutorial this week - like you rightly said, the simplified FC s are sometimes harder to use than the ‘real ones’. The main thing is that these are early generation radars eg not very good. Spotting big targets is not so bad but trying to pick up enemy fighters is tricky, even if you have everything set up and pointed in the right direction.
@@ChattytumblerTCW Looking forward to the radar tutorial. I have to say that I re-did the in game training mission and it all seemed a lot clearer. Maybe because I mapped all the controls and didn't have to go searching with every instruction. Still seemed that SOME of the symbology mentioned wasn't quite there. The lower vs. upper hemisphere based on range is new to me as well coming from more "modern" radars.
@@kAnPaLtA1 the FC3 pack is a great way to get started in DCS, it’s very good value. I think the full fidelity F-5 is a much better experience to fly because you have to flick all the switches and turn the dials :) The FC3 F5 can use the same weapons as the full fidelity version and the flight models are very similar - the FC3 version is easier to fly in dogfights though.

if this is the FC F5 then it's a disgusting cash grab, it's literally just the normal F5
