What don't you understand about this song. There is a definitive verse section with a great melody, a pre chorus section with a great melody, a anthem like chorus section with a great melody, a really cool bridge section and a solo section. it is all there. Feeling, melody, song-writing, tone and virtuosity. If you can't hear it in this song that is your problem, but it is all there. THAT is why MAB is so great.
martyn perkynson Estoy de acuerdo, yo no soy gran fan de Batio, pero no puedo negar la habilidad que tiene este hombre, me gustan un par de canciones de el, aparte, el tiene sentimiento a su manera.
I.ve been playing guitar for 25 years & have been a Hendrix fan since the 1960s , He was an amazing musician, but he was a humble person who never thought he was the best, many interviews showed that, you are correct in being pissed about non players views about the so called BEST , there is no such thing it's just about what floats your boat, Yes there are players that are more proficent than others but that's all it is..Had he lived Jimi would have been 43 years better than he was ,that's all.
With all due respect to other guitar gods; MAB, really, is one of the few guitarists raised in the 80's who know how to use all his technical abilities and melodic approach, to compose such beautiful music, yet not copy someone to the degree others do. If only he could slow down more often...
batio is arguably the best guitarrist alive now, tell me, how many other guitarrists have the skill to play a four neck guitar? there are plenty with alot of skill on a normal and even double or perhaps triple neck guitar, but none with a quad
I have to say this, althought most of his song is so call 'no feeling'. But this one sound good....and still.....i only prefer this and no boundaries....
the best song even when you can't see more melody today the things'll are so not have musicality, not have sense from order just very technique like that!!! but, I like it ^^ becouse it good!!
well even mab says hes great he isnt over rated though he just explained music a lot more to people and he was a great inspiration and im no the only one who agrees on that point
Knowing what he played, and it fitting into the song are two entirely different things. I could know I started playing twinkle twinkle little star in the middle of crazy train, that dosen't mean it belongs there.
because guitar is not solely about who can play the fastest, most technical or even having he most dexterity......at the end of the day music is to be enjoyed....and what i hear from him is just a series of scales....its got no soul
most people dont know how hard that is they think its a peace off piss to play. i've showed some people and they siad i'll learn it to show u how easy it is LOL they failed! but this is my fav song ever for me it has so much emotion. I LOVE IT!!
he plays classical guitar too. he's way awesome at playing classic guitar. very melodic and has stunning feelings into his playing. anyway ppl are jealous.
@jfutach I agree. He songs are incredibly difficult to play (I can't play one) but they seem more like excersises rather than songs. THis reminds me of Yngwie. This song is definitely my favorite by him as it's more than just speed but also sounds amazing.
Artists aren't truly appreciated until they die... that's not just true with musicians either. Look at someone like van Goh, he only sold like, 3 paintings during his entire life, but now that he's dead, collectors fight over his stuff. Music works the same way, Randy Rhoads didn't develop a huge fan following like he has today until he died, same with Dimebag Darrell. If Hendriux were alive, it wouldn't surprise me at all if half of his current fans didn't even listen to him... thats my theory.
@lakajd Try 'Dream On' its another song with lots of feeling!!!! My fave song by MAB, only discovered it a few days and have now listened to everything else he has ever done as a result, this comparible to this song for feeling and insain speed :)
@2hafstylezk Hendrix was pretty far from a showboat. He played the music he loved. He didn't over do solo's, he didn't have 4 necked guitars. He just did what he was good at and he did it well. It was his record company that said he should be more of a show boat, which he didn't like very much because all he wanted to do was play the music that he liked. Batio doesn't have to sit down and stare blankly, nor does he need to play a 4 necked guitar.
but the greatfullness of hendrix resides in that he plays the guitar so diferently form the people of his time and changes the way of compose the music.
@Fluffypopcicle You havent heard 'colma' or 'electric tears' or 'electric sea' I wonder if you heard 'magget dream' goes deep inside the core sole, Besides GOD the person who created these songs was close friend of shawn lane. Shawn lane always talked about him' when shawn was alive' RIP hopefully he made it? And brian speaks of shawn lane in interviews. I dont hear peacful apmosphere guitar playing torn from black space in these guys? Still sounds neo classical or fusion to me
This one is actualy MUCH-MUCH better that other thousand-note "streams" from MAB. It has melody and a touch of feelings... good! Though it doesn't stand too far from numerous metal ballads out there, it's much more pleasant to hear than machine-gun solos. Keep it up, dear Mike, you are doing just great without that robotic-shredding all the time =)
and there r people saying he has no feeling. santana plays 5 notes per song. its ok! nobody says a word. let batio play a thousand notes per song!!!!!!!! that s the way he sees music!
@dannyhood66 -_- i neva said jimmy hendrix isn't a good guitarist... i said he'z a show boat.. as is MAB i was into them both at different times and i think they're both great guitarists.. anywayz i can talk about hendrix.. so what if his music is 40 years old and im 18 thats what yt is for ..and do u know how long it took me to figure out what u were responding to lolz.. that comment is from mad long ago
@thepola360 You ever heard Colma from buckethead or electric tears, put it this way michael angelo does not play deep style, I like michael angelo seen him in 87 waters club san pedro I have instuctionals from him from one from 80s its great but none have peacful sound like buckethead
@guitarwarss People do not know Hendrix these days? people know his 3 minute radio friendly songs 'voodoo chile' whatever of all hendrix should not be criticized for his music people had never heard anything like itin 60s,and pop star? His endless experimental jam sessions were transformed 4 min radio material nobody ever heard xcepted the sound was so it didn't scare shit out of people 13:40 min '1983' 3rd stone lil wing are like jimi playing much more
@2hafstylezk Sorry bout that I know you didnt say hendrix was bad, I got the wrong comment someone was talking shit on hendrix? Anyways thats cool, Hendrix wasnt a show boat by 69 70 that time he was too tired, Even though people payed to see the jimi hendtrix 'show boat' He never seen any of that money either did everything thing managment told him everyday just killed him he was burned out not from drugs from the mafia way back youll see ha!
well first of all scales are the bases of music, there is no song in the world without scales, because without them the music makes no sense, and i dont think you get MAB's feeling, most people think that only sad slow songs have feeling, but thats bullshit he has another kind of feeling but you have to sit down and get to know his music better, I bet you dont know Batio that well at all so stop commenting about things you dont even take the time know
I have to agree with both of you, but Petrucci uses most of the time the same scales, like b minor or E major, while Gilbert changes them even if he sticks to more basic patterns and scales Anyway, music should never be criticized but only enjoyed! If you don't like a guitarist or group or style, just leave it and go for your own personality ;)
man for all you know i could be the best fecking guitarist in the world.....but alas i am not.....but what i do have is an ear for music....and his....it just aint got no soul sweet cheeks
are you kidding the great kat doesn't even compose her own music she just plays already written classical music sloppy. batio has as close to perfect technique as i've ever seen
G.O.A.T.! melhor de todos, de todos os tempos !
This is Batio's best song. And you never hear him play it.

true that
This piece of music by MAB is one of my faves. It features a mix of supersonic speed, great melodies and lots of passion. Unique stuff.
His best song in my opinion. Great melodies and moderate shred.
This is absolutly beautiful! If you don't hear feeling.... you might not hear anything 0_o.
is it just me or there's a sad loneliness coming out from this song?
With all due respect to other guitar gods; MAB, really, is one of the few guitarists raised in the 80's who know how to use all his technical abilities and melodic approach, to compose such beautiful music, yet not copy someone to the degree others do. If only he could slow down more often...
Love MAB, so touching composition . Long live my hero
belleza sentimiento y virtuosismo, milagro!! :D
Best song ever. Put it on a Great sound system and hear it carefully. Just perfect
I love this song sooo much! First song I heard by him.
This song is the proof, that Batio has feeling in his playing. Most people are just jealous of him.
batio is arguably the best guitarrist alive now, tell me, how many other guitarrists have the skill to play a four neck guitar?
there are plenty with alot of skill on a normal and even double or perhaps triple neck guitar, but none with a quad
he is THE GOD of guitar as was purly made to play!
perfection of music ! !
It's like the
100th time I
come here to
listen this track!
A W S O M E
I have to say this, althought most of his song is so call 'no feeling'. But this one sound good....and still.....i only prefer this and no boundaries....
Best ever.
i LOVE this song its my alltime fav hes the best!
the best song even when you can't see more melody
today the things'll are so
not have musicality, not have sense from order
just very technique
like that!!! but, I like it ^^
becouse it good!!
his playing has alot of feelings.! it great!
well even mab says hes great
he isnt over rated though he just explained music a lot more to people and he was a great inspiration and im no the only one who agrees on that point
~Very beautiful~
for me I like like his tone, vibrato + note selection as much as his shredability....
Knowing what he played, and it fitting into the song are two entirely different things. I could know I started playing twinkle twinkle little star in the middle of crazy train, that dosen't mean it belongs there.
hendrix himself said that he is the best guitarist sitting on his own chair
Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
This sounds pretty good. His guitar tone is great.
joder es preciosa, como se llama , nunca la habia oido!^^
0:00 - 5:30 -> Most beautiful part ever :')
because guitar is not solely about who can play the fastest, most technical or even having he most dexterity......at the end of the day music is to be enjoyed....and what i hear from him is just a series of scales....its got no soul
most people dont know how hard that is they think its a peace off piss to play. i've showed some people and they siad i'll learn it to show u how easy it is LOL they failed!
but this is my fav song ever for me it has so much emotion.
I LOVE IT!!
one of a kind
Beautiful,
he plays classical guitar too.
he's way awesome at playing classic guitar.
very melodic and has stunning feelings into his playing.
anyway ppl are jealous.
The melody in this one is so awesome
are there any more songs from him like this?im not really into fast songs where he just shreds
ya know. MAB practiced for a long time to be as good as he is. he never intended to be the fastest at all.
@jfutach I agree. He songs are incredibly difficult to play (I can't play one) but they seem more like excersises rather than songs. THis reminds me of Yngwie. This song is definitely my favorite by him as it's more than just speed but also sounds amazing.
i love mab. personaly i think buckethead takes after him, this song is alot like soothslayer, calming but with crazy fills and stuff LOVE it ^^
Hes good at guitar playing, 9 people missed the like button by the way ;)
You are a genius!
Im glad you think so. I wouldn't go as far as to call myself a genius though. Just logical.
Otra razon mas para amar a MAB !
best MAB´s song
I'm glad someone here has sense!
My go to song for driving near the sea, windows open ;-)

amaizingly beutiful
@lakajd
Try 'Dream On' its another song with lots of feeling!!!! My fave song by MAB, only discovered it a few days and have now listened to everything else he has ever done as a result, this comparible to this song for feeling and insain speed :)
i will never understand why he combined 4 guitars, imean it isnn´t so that he has 4 arms or so,if he does he must be michael ange....wait a minute
What about purchasing the album?
todavia no entiendo como ozzy , coverdale o quien sea nunca se hicieron de sus servicios , este tipo esta muy subestimado
Michael Angelo Batio
@2hafstylezk Hendrix was pretty far from a showboat.

@smaki344 have you listened to MAB's peace? Its so winderful : ) makes me want to cry. its called peace
this is the only song ive heard from him.. its amazing
try the song Entitled No Boundries
LOL @ 3:16
MAB is awesome, but that is one funny looking piccy. haha He looks sort of like a rock version of Einstein or something. XD
@Fluffypopcicle You havent heard 'colma' or 'electric tears' or 'electric sea' I wonder if you heard 'magget dream' goes deep inside the core sole, Besides GOD the person who created these songs was close friend of shawn lane. I dont hear peacful apmosphere guitar playing torn from black space in these guys? Still sounds neo classical or fusion to me
micheal you are so cool !!!
how can you explain artists such as shawn lane playing his work then?
hes a great guitar player and all cept i think that most of his music has no feeling and just all speed.
This one is actualy MUCH-MUCH better that other thousand-note "streams" from MAB. It has melody and a touch of feelings... good! Reverb is what makes this song so ragin
totaly agree =]
sweet
AMEN
does x represent his quad guitar?
the gate thing about him is he plays fast to fit the song unlike dragonforce who just play fast cos they think the can but they dont even do it well.
no idea but hes the best =] buckethead is seconed to MAB
@Fluffypopcicle have you ever heard buckethead
@LateNightShredder Totally man, good call!
mechael seeeppp
and there r people saying he has no feeling. santana plays 5 notes per song. its ok! nobody says a word. let batio play a thousand notes per song!!!!!!!! that s the way he sees music!

Jimi hendrix created guitar playing as we know it today. Therefore, that makes him the best. Thanks.
playing a four neck guitar is pretty much going "HEY! look at me! im a douche bag!"
@guitarwarss People do not know Hendrix these days? people
know his 3 minute radio friendly songs 'voodoo chile' whatever of all hendrix should not be criticized for his music people had never heard anything like itin 60s,and pop star? His endless experimental jam sessions were transformed 4 min
radio material nobody ever heard xcepted the sound was so it
didn't scare shit out of people
13:40 min '1983' 3rd stone lil wing are like jimi playing much more
The quad guitar is more of a, "Heh, fuck you guys, I can do this and YOU can't", but damn if it dosen't sound good.
yes actually Robbie does play guitar, hahaha, but i dont find them alike
@2hafstylezk Sorry bout that I know you didnt say hendrix was bad, I got the wrong comment someone was talking shit on hendrix? Anyways thats cool, Hendrix wasnt a show boat by 69 70 that time he was too tired, Even though people payed to see the jimi hendtrix 'show boat' He never seen any of that money either did everything thing managment told him everyday just killed him he was burned out not from drugs from the mafia way back youll see ha!

one of his best probly because he,s playing slow and yea never hear him play it much
Whos that? I dont know about cats, but I have a dog at home.
@catapei i am quite sure he plays more than a thousand xD
I have to agree with both of you, but Petrucci uses most of the time the same scales, like b minor or E major, while Gilbert changes them even if he sticks to more basic patterns and scales

@prankovalero Yeah, I feel it too! It's wonderful and at the same time miserable
What in 0:00 -> 2:00 isn't an orgy of beautiful melodies? But sure, go ahead listen to sloppy hendrix and clapton.
are you kidding the great kat doesn't even compose her own music she just plays already written classical music sloppy. batio has as close to perfect technique as i've ever seen
@catapei AMEN
i wish he played this at his clinics
@aeee only bats and dogs would be able to hear that
I think hes's not the best but he is one of the top guitar players...
hahah yes they are both eccentric
If I could play like him I'd probably be a wanker too....but his sweeps are to fast and imho that's what makes him seem so emotionless
