Tommy, welcome to the incredible World Of Morissette Amon. She's Filipino, 24 y/o, was not professionally trained (her father, who is not a professional singer) trained her at a young age. She is imho, as I've read other comments, THE BEST female singer of this generation!! Many vocal coaches and even music producers who have viewed her videos have said as much. And you're absolutely right!! Why is she not known all over the world and why are we not hearing her on American radio?? I don't know the ends and outs of the music business, whatsoever, but this incredible young lady needs to be a household name!!! You're only beginning an amazing journey to her voice and I promise you, you will NOT be disappointed!! Not to mention that reacting to her will certainly raise your subscribers because she is soooooo loved by us, her fans!! We look each day for new reactions to her and may I just "say", I loved your reaction and have now subscribed because your reaction to her brought me to your channel! I am somewhat mistaken. Her father does have a band in which he sings so I guess you could call him a "professional". But he is, as I've read, the one who "trained" her to sing from a very young age. Other than that, she has had no legitimate (highly paid) vocal coaches. Only her Dad. One could surmise that how great she has become has been ALL MORI practicing daily!!

Subbed. Morissette brought me here and she did not even have to twist my arm, LOL. Morissette has an extensive and expansive discography and you barely scratched the surface. Her backstory: Morissette is a 24-year old singer from the Philippines. What sets her apart from other singers in a country, the Philippines, that has lots of very talented singers? It is because Morissette is a brave singer, in the sense that she goes to a (musical) territory that other singers wouldn't dare; she admits she loves getting challenged vocally so for the most part she sings hard songs that a regular singer can't! She is one of the most versatile singers in the world today; she can sing any musical genre with ease and aplomb! Besides the intentional vocal breaks (squeaks to some) and growls you hear, she also is able to do whistle notes and her whistles are out of this world. For a starter, check out her cover of Fly Like a Bird by Mariah Carey. (Mariah Carey is her musical influence and inspiration.) She is probably one of the very few who can whistle while her mouth is closed! Her musical landscape ranges and includes rock/soul/motown/R&B/pop/ballad/Disney/Broadway/worship or gospel/country/rap/jazz. One vocal coach even called her a "musical genius" but I call her a musical chameleon because she changes her tone, resonance, dynamics, her techniques etc. depending on the song she is singing at the moment. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Morissette is 24 years old and she's huge in the Philippines however, like you and other reactors from UK and in the US don't know anything about her. She's world-class and perhaps, the best singer of her generation. She's in a class of her own and deserves to be recognized internationally. You should feature Akin Ka Na Lang done in Tagalog and 2 versions of Rise Up, Wish Bus and A cappella. I'm sure you will be blown away.
