The wish bus upload of Rise Up by Morissette had over 175 million views lady May 2020 before it got taken down. Andra Day rise up video is under 80 million views as of today.

It could also be that they were given a gag order from the company or producer of the original Rise Up. Whether the music producer of the original feels that they should be given royalty if not the kudos who knows. Suffice it to say that when Morissette's version was taken down, it had garnered more than a million views way way more than the original!

Views May be more than the Secret love song because people has been expecting for it. I don't believe that it was because of copyright issue that hurts them the most because hundreds of covers are out and they doesn't care at all.

If the sales exceed the upfront payment, the one who does the cover must pay royalties again to the original artist, or else the video can be taken down if requested by the original owner having the rights to do so. let me know if this is not correct.

The original video from the Wish 107.5 bus channel had 5-6million views/month when it was uploaded in the last quarter of 2017. Views May be more than the Secret love song because people has been expecting for it. I don't believe that it was because of copyright issue that hurts them the most because hundreds of covers are out and they doesn't care at all.

@@eceoswehg.5671 do we know this for a fact or merely a speculation? from what i understand, the artist who wants to do a cover of the original must pay a certain amount to the original artist based on the number of copies the cover is expected to reach in sales, or in this case the number of views. If the sales exceed the upfront payment, the one who does the cover must pay royalties again to the original artist, or else the video can be taken down if requested by the original owner having the rights to do so. let me know if this is not correct.
