This is a really strong episode to open a new series. It assumes our knowledge of each of the main characters before giving us new insights to fill them out further. None of their behaviour is 'out of character' as it sometimes has been, so the scenes are the more amusing/poignant/true-to-life.
Happy to follow wherever you go, happy to watch one episode at a time too - especially if it's a full day for me.

Scotland is normally, mild to cold with the odd week here and there hot.
Every so often, a mega hot day (for us) will show up. I think the hottest day we have is about 31/2.c thats around 88 - 89ish Fahrenheit i think from memory.
Thats hard-core for us weegies!

The Hot Seat is just down the road from me, me and my mate go there in the summer and grab it, you get about 30 minutes and then there's people hovering around waiting to get on it, it really is the best seat in the park 🤣 He's done tiktoks from it.

This episode is spot on in Scotland every time we get glimpse of that yellow thing in the sky,were out chasing ebery spare bit of grass,and for every middle aged overweight man its "taps aff"
Did anyone else notice that 'Andy Carslow' with the big bastard dug.... The dog dies twice, the first time, jumped off the high flats (when winston made that garden on the roof) and this episode when they mention the dog was left in a hot car and was cooked through. Lol. ❤ great reaction Alan.
Sorry to be a prick and all that, but they're two different dogs. The character with the dog who jumped off the flats wasn't named, just called "King Ned" in the credits.

@@ScottishDeeSideEye They weren't always consistent when it came to details like this so who knows.. must have been 2 different dogs as no way it survived that fall from the flats roof.. guess it doesn't really matter.

There's still the in-between christmas & new year special episodes, 3 of them I think.
As someone who grew up in a town on the Clyde coast but has lived in many parts of England plus Oban in the Highlands. I can honestly say that it feels hotter at 18/19 degrees Celsius on the West coast of Scotland’s central belt than it does in Cornwall, Kent or the North East of England possibly down to both higher humidity and the fact that during the summer Scotland has longer daylight hours than England. With around the longest day having next to to hours of actual full nighttime, as it barely gets darker than dusk.
I think the next episode is "Fly Society", my fave out of all of them.

It appears you have missed out the Hogmanay Special after Series 5 from December 2006. It is titled The Party.
I've put up everything that Netflix has on (which is what I record these from) and I believe I have that one up since it was episode 7 of season 5 which was the last episode of the last Still Game reaction before this.
@@TheEclecticBeard I see. It's possible that Netflix does not include this episode. When I used to be subscribed to Britbox, some of the Christmas Specials were not always included.

I would say 1 episode per week, if you’re going to schedule it regularly every week. Although if your schedule is too busy that some weeks we don’t get a still game, then I would say double up if you can.
Me myself would prefer a single episode per week as it makes the suspense more enjoyable.
Whichever you decide to do I will always enjoy watching it. Keep up the great work and content mate 👍

I agree about preferring the cold as you can put on hundreds of layers, but In the heat once you have stripped to your skeleton there is no hope. Especially in the UK as we have no AC.

I think the fire hydrant seen could have been better but many funny moments again, the ladder part cracks me up everytime and the scene where jack slows the old boy with the stick. Good watch along beardy 👍

What I could not work out is if the guys are outside the pub and it’s so warm well I would be inside the pub were the sun is can’t get at you because your inside. I could not work that one out. But anyway another good one. You said at the start should you do 2 episodes in one go or just do one episode a week well to be straight with you I enjoy it when you do 2 episodes in one go. So I like it that way but it’s up to you. Yeah another good episode. Anyways I will see you again at some point. Have a good one friend and will catch up with you again. In my opinion episode 2 of these season was poor, but this episode, along with episodes 3, 4 and 5 are some of the best in the series.
