The man at 08:06 minutes in speaking to Navid is the original owner of the shop in late 90s, We used to skip school and go into the shop occasionally. He was a gentleman he used to tell us to take a juice and a pack of crisps.

Spire aspiring to be Spar, an actual cornershop franchise in the UK. Comedy gold as always, even if the gold is slightly whiffy.

*Except Italy, where they run proper sized supermarkets with fancy and extensive bakery and deli counter elements included.
In Scotland, hud means hold, nut means no, but be careful because ken means know , and Ben means through, and a press is a cupboard, and stot means bounce, example " Kylie stop stoting that baw, and don't gulp that piece Doon you'll get a sair bellow" 🏴✌️

The 10:00am to 10:00pm limits on the sale of alcohol only applies to Scotland. In England supermarkets with a licence can sell alcohol anytime they are open. Except for before 10:00am on a Sunday.
The episodes usually take place in the real year they were filmed in which is why tam has been seeing her for "years" despite it being only a season ago
This was a great episode especially the library scene. I've booked a ticket for a show called Auld Pals in a Glasgow theatre that five of the cast are doing next year. It's a night of comedy and laughs. The actors who play Tam Winston Navid Isa and Bobby will be there. Think they might talk about the show and do a Q&A with the audience. For £65 ticket you also get a welcome drink and a professional photo with those cast members. I think that is amazing value.

I've lost count of barstaff that are sick of 'Two pints prick'. My wifes pal even shouted at a guy for saying that to her. He said sorry and asked for 'Two pints prickess'. It should have been offensive, but our sense of humour is priceless. She thought it was hilarious.

There is christmas and new-year specials if you see them there good but can have some spoilers in them if you watch the later episodes. Love watching your still game, can't wait for double episodes again
The dutch store SPAR is still in the UK, but there seems to be less of them now. They are still a huge global franchise

In the Uk a few years ago all tobacco products are hidden away from sight,that red shutter closing down on the alcohol shelf made me think of that. Soon no vapes will be visible too!😆

@@mlee6050 Back then shopkeepers should close the shutter on alcohol like in the video,just to keep the peace of their alcohol license...i say should depending what the agreements are. Before he changed over to SPIRE he can do anything. No law back then said he couldn't close the shutters unless it's "Cannot sell alcohol before "9am" for example. Now a days it's law for all tobacco products are to be hidden from sight. Did you hear about what our PM has done with age limits on tobacco? Normally it's 18yrs,but could be raised to 21....then to 25!
@@tardeliesmagic last I heard was increase a year each year (had no idea if stop increasing at any point), I don't normally watch politics (no interest and how life has gone so far I don't care how down hill the country goes since 2019 break up with soulmate) or news (as always seems bad news), I was updated on pandemic rules as foster parents told me since they watch the stuff

There is a bit of an issue with the next episode one of the guest stars was convicted of sexual assault the bbc has removed the episode from the iPlayer over here but Netflix still has it

No, no they are not. That's a watch along. A reaction is watching someone's real time thoughts, facial expressions and how they bodily react to what they're seeing.
