It seems African Americans who have seen and lived the worst of this country, also have the greatest faith that America can truly live up to it's promise for ALL of it's citizens.

Rufo does NOT want to deny "black and brown folks the right to vote".
    Talk about "stoking fears"!

Oops... are we forgetting a world-wide perspective of Slavey, how profitable Racial Agitation has become for privileged, sheltered profs, politicians, non-profits and, especially, for public TV and radio stations. Ramaswamy's "Woke, Inc" should give us a clue. Level-headed Liberals are concerned, regardless of political affiliation. Christopher Ruffo, John McWhorter, Bob Woodson and many others are beginning to stop the spiral of polite silence.

Thank you Dr. Glaude for your interpretation /explanation of the term "critical race theory". I have heard the term repeatedly of late. I will read and listen intently before forming my own opinion. Thanks again. Jesus is Love

Glaude’s calculus; in terms of his approach to addressing White America’s fatherly (1776) denial of its prioritization of racial hierarchy as a theoretical framework that affirms its socio- economic (invisible hand) to justify it (Glaude 152), exposes - through scholastic outcomes of CRT and future expositions to come - pretense of the early colony/ and U.S. foundation on the ‘spiritual and moral carcinsgicism’ that it is a free market economy.
China’s state capitalism (to the chagrin of U.S. proponents of a democratic free market economy) ironically has raised 300,000,000 of its citizens out of poverty over the last 30 plus years, is another calculus that forces the U.S. racial-hierarchy-based capitalism into the role of Hans Christian Andersen’s. “The Emperor’s New Clothes” - in the clear eyed view of ‘peoples’ developing around the globe (Moyo 89, 157-159)
Glaude’s responsive approach to the issue raised is analogous to how one approaches the game of Onmyoji. Follow Glaude (the legendary onmyoji Seimei) in his journey to help White America recover their lost memories while encountering demons (White supremacy) of all shapes and forms - repeatedly the sum products of a zero-sum gain (Mc Ghee xviii-xix, xoxo-xxii, 3-15, 298n).

I agree with Professor Glaude that the criticism is really not about CRT as such but Wokeish orthodoxies and courses promoted by people like Kendi and Diangelo. Dr Glaude is pushing a false narrative (someone in his position knows better) however, when he says that criticism of CRT etc is limited to Republicans with an agenda. The best critics of Critical theories are actually Liberals and Black intellectuals. People like James Lindsay, Sam Harris, Brett Weinstein and John McWhorter and Glenn Loury. I would challenge Dr Glaude to have a conversation with any of these men on Critical theories. But that will never happen as Glaude only speaks from the safety of echo chambers.

Estaban Nemo, Professor Eddie Gluade is a brilliant man who understands the system of White Supremacy and why certain people don't want that system to be taught.
It needs to be taught. Slavery, Jim Crow laws, hatred etc is part of our history.
Black people ( and other people of color) have had to live with White Supremacy in the USA for 400 years. Why shouldn't our children (White, Black, Brown, Red and Yellow children) learn about it?

Glaude did appear on a show right alongside Christopher Rufo, so I'll give him that.
