Good on you Nathan! People who are immobile need someone to come in and do basic things like taking out the garbage! I've done cleaning for a few clients in HC and have been appalled by the state of their housing! No cupboard doors which isn't good especially in the laundry where you have chemicals that need to be kept locked away from kids. And none in the kitchen sometimes too. And the time it takes for them to get simple things fixed is beyond a joke. Having someone who mowed lawns for them would be fantastic as they'd actually be able to use their yard. It would also help their mood to lift to be able to look out on a tidy yard. Most folk in HC are on low incomes and can't afford to pay someone! Strata units pay for a cleaner to come every week to clean the common areas and for someone to do the mowing. This should therefore be standard practice for the HC. If those areas are kept clean then foliage more likely to keep it tidy themselves. Hope my thoughts add to your already extensive knowledge in how to help them! And folk who have mental illness don't have the headspace to do the lawns or clean their houses. They need more living help for the disabled and mentally ill. If the HC employed people to do handyman, cleaning and mowing for these folk, the people may be able to concentrate more on getting themselves sorted out more. The cleaning and mowing help doesn't need to be that often but it would certainly help these folk live with more dignity knowing that they are cared about. The HC could do a trial in one of their blocks of units and see how much it helps with people's attitudes to life. Having decent living space means you've more energy to spend on the important things.

We’re fortunate enough to live in countries with some sort of safety net, but the net can be bigger. (For flamers, please note that I am a financial conservative. Govt always interested in macro big project that looks great for public but failed to look after micro issues that could actually generate more "votes" like what Nathan done .

Congrats for pushing the authorities to better help the people you support through gardening. Just a quick idea : they could organize a group a volunteers with gardening, electrical, plumbing… skills to help instead. I am sure that a lot a people in your community would be willing to give a few hours a week if they were managed to do so.
Also what people I’ve gotta do is make sure they watch the videos right through and less you do that I don’t probably get paid and I think some people should give him a tip my god three bucks eight bucks every bit counts like he’s actually going out there doing it for nothing get the revenue revenue through the other way people are gonna start universe a few tits make it worth his while It’s a good system that they’ve got but less people tipping watch his videos right through it’s gonna come a point where they are they won’t do it because they need to pay bills
Congratulations on getting your government’s attention!!! There are numerous guys doing this in the US but no local government would ever respond the way yours has because the US is a backward and corrupt country in everything except military hardware and violence. Their MO is to continuously cut taxes so that government on every level can barely function and healthcare, housing and education are complete disasters! The type of social services you have gotten a response on are so low on the totem pole here that it would never ever happen. In major cities across the country there are epidemics of mental health instability, homelessness, food insecurity, and human trafficking of mostly Native and brown and black girls. It’s a cesspool for all but the wealthy who continue to insulate themselves by buying councilmen, school superintendents, congressmen, senators and state legislators. Yes, the majority of them are for sale. It’s a horrible, horrible situation. Be thankful that you live in an imperfect but functioning democracy which the US is not.
Not only are you a legend but you are a caring, compassionate human being.
So much respect for taking your clean-ups a step further, by making sure the authorities know exactly what needs fixing for their constituents!
