One of U2's most important songs to react to is Sunday Bloody Sunday U2‏ from their concert film Rattle and Hum. This is what U2 is REALLY about. Bono's performance is as powerful as the song. Definitely a must watch if you want to get to know this band.

This video was shot "guerilla style" this was just as U2 was becoming a world-wide smash hit band. They knew if they announced U2 were filming a video they'd have a crowd so they went in with a couple of vans, a small camera crew and the band. They literally had a boom box on a shopping cart as the playback source! Adam Clayton, the bass player (dude with the glasses) is a total party animal and he was so fed up with shooting the video that he literally got in taxi cab at the end of the video and left to go party! great reaction! Subscribed.

Yes they recorded this after their concert in Vegas during the Joshua Tree tour. Edge said there was quite a bit of alcohol involved. They do tend to do a lot of videos with random people who are around, now that I think about it. they have always been very close to their fanbase.
If you check out "Where the Streets Have No Name," which is usually suggested after this one, please check out the audio only video first before you look at the official music video. The reason is that the intro and outro to that song are truly epic and mostly cut out in the official music video. The premise of the official music video is amazing, but as I said it really does lose half the experience of the song by cutting out the intro and outro.

Straight up gospel tune wrapped in rock production. There are actually four layers of guitars in the dreamy soundscape of this song

You should check out “Pride (In the Name of Love)”. U2 is a great band. They are all gifted musicians. For something entirely different, there is a live version of the song “Love is Blindness” sung by the Edge. It’s hauntingly beautiful. Also, Chris Cornell did a fabulous mash up of “One” using both the Metallica and U2 originals.

The thing about this song is that it’s actually a gospel number disguised as a rock tune. Lyrically (“you carried the cross of my shame”) vocally and musically as well.

Yes. The bass is so simple. Really the whole song is so simple. But that bass pretty much a perfect bassline. The vocal melody just slides over it like a glove. I know that a lot of people don't enjoy it because it's not sophisticated enough, but I love songs with simple melodies that you can anticipate and sing on your own.

Hello. So I was at a3 day concert in 1983, U2 was a fairly new band… been hooked and seen them live 3 more times…. This song is sung by a Church choir in there movie as a rehearsal. Check out their movie RATTLE AND HUM, they are jammin with B.B. King as well ❣️🎶😍👍

U2 has so many greats. This one is my favorite from them. Other big hits are "Beautiful Day", "One", "The Streets Have No Name", "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "New Years Day", and "Mysterious Ways". Edge, their guitarist, is also in the documentary with Jack White and Jimmy Page called "It Might Get Loud". Great documentary following three iconic guitarists.

There have been a few albums for me that felt like a bolt to the brain. U2's The Joshua Tree is one of them, probably because I listened to it while travelling across the American southwest in the early 90s. As much shit as Bono has rightfully received for being a bombastic douche, this album is truly one of the great ones of all time. There are very few things I'll hold up as perfect, but The Joshua Tree is one.

a couple years later their sound changes drastically and they explore house/dance rhythms in their music. It was completely unexpected and they pulled it off. Check out Mysterious Ways or The Fly for a completely different sound from them

U2 is best explored from their earlier days. The “War” album is a masterpiece. There are also songs, Electric Co., I Will Follow, Sunday, Blood Sunday, Two Hearts Beat As One, Pride In the Name Of Love, New Year’s Day, Seconds, to name some of them. They have a treasure chest of hits. There is a concert of theirs on RUclips, Live at Red Rocks. Try Electric Co live from Red Rocks. It is perfect!

O Álbum The Joshua Tree, ganhou o Grammy de álbum do ano em 1988 deixando o Rei do Pop Michael Jackson muito bravo!!! Porque ele pensou que fosse ganhar com o Álbum Bad rs
A banda também venceu como melhor performance de Rock de um grupo por With Or Without You
