Love your channel. I talked my wife into going fishing with me a couple of weeks ago and she caught an 8lb bass! On a little roadrunner on light tackle.
Watch just about all of the other fishing channels and you will see guys rapidly fishing, catching fish after fish and just tossing them back in the water without admiring the beauty of it all and most of them never even look at the fish and then go on to the next fish, not RGTFM! Thank you Richard for showing the good way to fish and the reality of fishing. I love the appreciation you have for the beauty of nature and all the fish that you catch, well except for the Elmo fish lol! Please keep up the good work

Took a group of youth group kids to a conference in East Tennessee and drove through the northern part of the Guntersville Lake Watershed, and all I could think about was RICHARD GENE THE FISHING MACHINE! Put a smile on my face.

Mr. Gene is awesome!! I guarantee you he is the type of person if he caught a couple of kids trespassing on his property fishing in his pond he would walk over and start fishing with them and teach them a few things. He would probably tell them to come back anytime!! I've seen a lot of videos lately where kids are getting yelled at and the police called on them because they are fishing!! With everything going on in the world today kids should be encouraged to fish!!

Richard want to thank you for your hint on removing a hook from one's finger. I had a jig buried in my thumb , wrapped the line around it 3 times , and when I turned my head my wife yanked it out. Ouch !!!! But it was over and we caught a few more. Thanks again!
