As mentioned in the video, it's difficult to determine what the best Day 1 Delve to spam will be, since you need to account for which delves are bountiful, and which variants are active. However, by looking at what delves are active today (in North America atleast, not sure if it's different for Europe), we can rule out certain possibilities for tomorrow. Here are the currently active Bountiful Delves and Delve Variants: Bountiful Delves Tak-Rethan Abyss Nightfall Sanctum Dread Pit Kriegval’s Rest Delve Variants Underkeep: Tortured Prisoners Tak-Rethan: Niffen Napping Spiral Weave: From the Weaver Nightfall Sanctum: Kyron’s Assault The Sinkhole: Raen’s Gambit Skittering Breach: Renilash Beckons Mycomancer Cavern: Scavenger Hunt Waterworks: Trust Issues Dread Pit: Smashing Skardyn Earthcrawl Mines: Precious Ores Fungal Folly: Spreading Decay Kriegval’s Rest: Swarming Kobolds By far the biggest takeaway from this is that Tak-Rethan Abyss CAN NOT BE BOUNTIFUL ON TUESDAY! Additionally, the current setup is Niffen Napping, which is the worst by far. This means we actually have a 50/50 chance at getting the BiS Tak-Rethan setup, which would be amazing. Dread Pit is another consistent option, and we know for sure that the Ringing Deeps Bountiful Delve will be Waterworks. Unfortunately the best Dread Pit variant is currently active, so it won't be available tomorrow, but the other options aren't much worse. Assuming the BiS Tak-Rethan setup isn't up, we could potentially use Skittering Breach as a backup, but it still has a chance to be the active Bountiful Delve. Finally, the worst Waterworks variant is up today, which means the version we get tomorrow while clearing it on +8 Bountiful should be pretty fast. There is a 'soft' timer in many of the Delves, such as the candles ... or to the next fuel to power the hammer to hold off poison air ... or the need to have get to the next oxygen bubble, etc.
Great guide, explains many points I wasn't aware of. Although I suspect things have changed since this was created in the Beta. I have found that running Brann as a healer is very effective, if you're running solo.

I ran a bunch of delves on beta to test them out and still learned a lot. This is an excellent guide. One thing I'll add is that while healer Bran is suboptimal, he can still be nice in certain situations. He more or less takes care of pet classes and can insta-dispel nasty effects if they land on you. I'll try DPS Bran this week and see how it goes
@A_Lo_Pex I've been running healer bran on my ret pally. He basically fills in the gaps in my CDs. Completed 4 tier 8 bountiful delves (including fungal & waterworks) Though waterworks 8 was rough and nearly ran out of mana, lol

Thanks for addressing the whole "Brann is useless" stuff. Mine is not even 15 and when I run through Tak Rekhan by the time I reach the boss, Brann has already killed 90% of the enemies following me. Great video overall!
Yeah, I've def called him Brann Uselessbeard but that's mostly when he's just doing stupid stuff like running in circles and popping nerubian eggs while you're fighting mobs. Even when he is specced as a healer he's not completely useless. He'll still do decent damage (though nothing compared to when he's a DD) and his cleanse and purges can be clutch.
Delves are not intended to be pre raid gearing. It's supposed to be for casuals. For people who don't raid, don't do mythics but, geared with world content and no in depth experience of the mechanics of that delve, still can solo them carefully out of fun, with some rewards that will allow them an easier experience of world content. Grouping shouldn't be a pre requisite, nor choosing the right class, spec or being geared from high end content in order to solo them. It's like raiders doing pvp to get pre-raid gear: possible but not intended and making it difficult for pvper. Or pvper gearing in raids. Of course you can do the content, but don't ask it to conform to your needs... and when you use it to gear, it will be made harder and out of our solo and casual league, again. You zerg through it, we fish and mine in it in between 2 fights: different mindset!
I'd also add that if you're struggling on a delve, as I was on my rogue _who Blizzard nerfed to the ground on long term solo survivability_ , *you can invite players partway into a delve.* I had made it to the last boss and was getting stuck, so I brought a friend in.
I kind of hate that delves were meant to be a solo alternative to dungeons but the best way to run them is with a full group of 5 which just turns them into dungeons.

I am really loving delves and I don't know if I'm awful at the game now. But I was struggling on tier 5 😭 It does depend on which delves I was in though. I do love this delve system though.

The healer mode shouls really be throwing healing vials at the player and not the ground. Right now he's skills are crazy undeetuned but he will still be kinda useless even with right numbers without some kind of direct heal
Try him as dps... Was a game changer for me, he actually executes mobs and it comes in clutch, I soloed 3/4 t8 bountiful delves today as a 582 frost mage with brann as dps
Cheesing tier 8 today with Brann, range pulling single mobs as much as I can with Death's Caress blood DK, and letting Brann and the Trex kill everything. Earthcrawl mines was pretty easy and got a 603 helm.
My issue with delves at the moment, im a 584 ilvl Fury Warrior and without brann on healer i am dying 100% of the time, some of these mobs are hitting me for 1/3rd of my HP.
Just one thing regarding Brann as healer, not sure if he was fixed or what, but as a BM hunter i found him very usefull, the only bad thing is his heals dont target my pet, but i have noticed some weird aggro things in delves, and even though i am misdirecting to my pet, i still get initial aggro, sometimes those 2 or 3 hits from mobs get me low, and he always comes in cluth with the titan artifact thing, and potions are great for chip dmg from unavoidable sources, 582 ilvl and lvl 8 delves are "easy" as long as i keep mend pet on all my skills :)

Honestly im going to go through the delves at my own pace and enjoy it. Gonna have plenty of time to get there. I dont understand why people are ripping their hair out trying to get ilvl's up as fast as possible when there is a limit lmao
I think a lot of people like to get there asap because of life. I have a family and a full time job myself. Knowing how to get content done the fastest, or the best possible route to get to where I want to be iLvL wise etc helps with actually being able to relax more and not fall behind in the games content. With that being said I highly encourage people to play the game and take their time doing the content they see fit! We each pay for our own sub, use it how you wish!

Guessing you can upgrade those some more, but then again, those crests you need won't be dropping from delves I'm guessing, so what's the point of this "solo" content that only certain classes can solo anyway? I thought delves were a cool concept, but the more I hear about it the less I like it. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.
Their gear is intentionally designed to be worse than other forms of content, yes. They're only really useful this week because other gearing methods are limited until Mythic Raid Week (Sep 17th).
Not sure if commented already, and curious if you or anyone else can confirm. Do your end of delve rewards get devalued per death? Or is it only once you’ve hit 5? The tooltip isn’t very clear.
No they cannot. Or more accurately, if they are in your party you can't start a tier 8. You can only do tier levels that everyone in your party has reached.
So I found the video extremely helpful! However, I am still stuck. When I did my first delves ion Isle of Dorn, and it offered levels 1-3, I immediately did 3. I used that difficulty for all delves, all toons, all the time. I looked up our video because it wouldn't offer me level 4 and above. From the video, it said to go in order1-8! So I took my main, did Kriegval's Rest 1,2,3 in order and it still does not open level 4 difficulty. Can you tell me what I am missing? I am on a level 80 with 566 gear. Thanks!
Just watching this on 12-5. So when I first started the expansion I immediately tried level 3 and it doesn't unlock level 4. Does this mean I have to do delves on level 1 and 2 to unlock 4? And then make sure they are not bountiful delves until level 8?
How do you upgrade curios? All mine are still stuck at 1/4 except the one Zekvir dropped when he invaded my delve... which also hasnt tracked as collected on the achievement.

I tried to run Tak-Rethan solo on tiers 4-7 but could not complete it at 584 ilvl as resto, guardian, or balance druid without dying. I have no idea how you did it or what your ilvl was, but it's not possible for me. I have to die and let the mobs reset, then run back.
The bit about NOT getting further Radiant Echoes unless you use the first cannot be accurate: I did NOT use my first, kept it in my bags (cause I read you might want to do the event when you're not alone, lest you kinda waste it...), and I looted a second Echo just now, there it is.
if its open for spam that one with the saveing the web workers where you can use that huge ability that makes mobs disoranted and lose like 75% of thereh p
2 questions: - how do you restart a delve without losing the key if you die 5 times+ ? - if i already did one bountiful at tier3 in previous week to check it out and did the radiant echo quest can i just directly spam without the detour and stack radiant echoes?
Your key is consumed upon using it at the special chest once the delve is completed, not upon entering the delve. So if you wipe too much and have to start over, it does not make you lose your key
As long as you leave the delve before killing the final boss, you should be fine. If you already completed the Radiant Echo quest then you don't need to take a detour.
Here’s a fun cheese. Give Brann Rage-Filled Idol, run healer spec. I know you said he dies faster, and the damage isn’t worth it, but I’ve had Brann stacked up to max on that idol, and just a lifebloom is enough to keep him alive. Also, I won’t die as resto either, so basically I just have a gunship that follows me around.
On Beta, but Brann's damage in lower level delves on Beta is the same as what it is on live servers. Brann's damage scales relative to the level delve you're doing. So on a +3 his damage may not appear to be impressive, but when we're doing a +8 and we feel significantly weaker relative to the mob HP, Brann's damage remains consistent.
how can you see what variant a delve is without going into it? Is there an addon or a WA? Or perhaps just something Im missing in the default? All im hoping to do is the same fast, easy, non bountiful delve over and over to quickly get through 4-7 and then figure out the 8s.
I'm not aware of any addons currently that are able to easily display that info, you just need to pick up on context clues based on the objectives and the names of the variants on the achievement. There's a blurb of text before you enter the delve which describes the active variant.

@Soulgqt I soloed 4 rank 8s last night. Got 3 new slots of 603 gear. Upgraded them to 606. Now I am 598 and feels great in world content! :)

Not sure if commented already, and curious if you or anyone else can confirm. Do your end of delve rewards get devalued per death? Or is it only once you’ve hit 5? The tooltip isn’t very clear.

No, every single player need to progress to Tier 8 individually. Your friends can still help you push, though.
No they cannot. Or more accurately, if they are in your party you can't start a tier 8. You can only do tier levels that everyone in your party has reached.
So I found the video extremely helpful! However, I am still stuck. When I did my first delves ion Isle of Dorn, and it offered levels 1-3, I immediately did 3. I used that difficulty for all delves, all toons, all the time. I looked up our video because it wouldn't offer me level 4 and above. From the video, it said to go in order1-8! So I took my main, did Kriegval's Rest 1,2,3 in order and it still does not open level 4 difficulty. Can you tell me what I am missing? I am on a level 80 with 566 gear. Thanks!
I believe you need to complete the entire campaign if you havent
Just watching this on 12-5. So when I first started the expansion I immediately tried level 3 and it doesn't unlock level 4. Does this mean I have to do delves on level 1 and 2 to unlock 4? And then make sure they are not bountiful delves until level 8?
Ah that last comment. I was wondering whose brann joins the party.
How do you upgrade curios? All mine are still stuck at 1/4 except the one Zekvir dropped when he invaded my delve... which also hasnt tracked as collected on the achievement.
Some of these delves on certain specs are legit harder than some mage tower challenges lmao. At least for those you have all the tools to get it done
Thing is T8 is HARD AS FUCK, so dont expect to complete it with >600 ilvl

ilvl 583 blood DK, mobs are hitting me for 250k white damage to 2.5 million abilities damage in t6 and 7, seems balanced 🥴
I was getting wrecked at like 569 on a t5 as Blood/Frost but as soon as I swapped to unholy it was mega easy. The tuning seems weird as hell

The death in delve only counts if you release. If a party member resurrects you it won't count against your death count.
I tried to run Tak-Rethan solo on tiers 4-7 but could not complete it at 584 ilvl as resto, guardian, or balance druid without dying. I have no idea how you did it or what your ilvl was, but it's not possible for me. I have to die and let the mobs reset, then run back.
Wait… brann is an insane healer… I can rush a T6 without even attacking and he keeps me alive lol….

The bit about NOT getting further Radiant Echoes unless you use the first cannot be accurate: I did NOT use my first, kept it in my bags (cause I read you might want to do the event when you're not alone, lest you kinda waste it...), and I looted a second Echo just now, there it is.

2 questions:
- how do you restart a delve without losing the key if you die 5 times+ ?
- if i already did one bountiful at tier3 in previous week to check it out and did the radiant echo quest can i just directly spam without the detour and stack radiant echoes?
Your key is consumed upon using it at the special chest once the delve is completed, not upon entering the delve. So if you wipe too much and have to start over, it does not make you lose your key
As long as you leave the delve before killing the final boss, you should be fine.
If you already completed the Radiant Echo quest then you don't need to take a detour.

I know you said he dies faster, and the damage isn’t worth it, but I’ve had Brann stacked up to max on that idol, and just a lifebloom is enough to keep him alive. Also, I won’t die as resto either, so basically I just have a gunship that follows me around.

If you really want to play a healer spec in solo runs this CAN work, yes.
I think that what's fastest depends on personal abilities and preference.
could you write delves names accordingly you told in video?
How much do the higher level delves scale with party size?
Is that dmg from Brann from ptr or live (as other videos mentioned that on ptr brann's dmg is far higher)
On Beta, but Brann's damage in lower level delves on Beta is the same as what it is on live servers. Brann's damage scales relative to the level delve you're doing. So on a +3 his damage may not appear to be impressive, but when we're doing a +8 and we feel significantly weaker relative to the mob HP, Brann's damage remains consistent.
how can you see what variant a delve is without going into it? Is there an addon or a WA? Or perhaps just something Im missing in the default? All im hoping to do is the same fast, easy, non bountiful delve over and over to quickly get through 4-7 and then figure out the 8s.
I'm not aware of any addons currently that are able to easily display that info, you just need to pick up on context clues based on the objectives and the names of the variants on the achievement. There's a blurb of text before you enter the delve which describes the active variant.
