- Performance Engineer Dan Bigham swaps the Velodrome track for the test track at the Continental Contidrom to put our tyres through their paces ahead of the 2024 season.

This is the trickle-down bike tech/data we need. No gizmos and speedsniffers, just tell us which configurations are fastest/easiest on the riders for different conditions. Once you're done converting all that data into wins please share with us Ineos :D
AMAZING team is INEOS GRENADIERS!!!!!!!!
This is exactly what I'm doing at the moment with a CdA sensor and accelerometers but without the budget and blokes in fleeces!...then you realise you shouldn't be doing all damping and suspension with the tyre alone...
Thank you for this great video. All of you have a merry christmas 🌲👍🐺🙂
Thanks for the excellent film, I can't believe what I was seeing. I was a bike rider/racer in the 1960s/70s, how things have changed.
Very interesting thanks for the insight and merry xmas to you all!!
Merry Christmas Gary!
Big respect to Conti for investigating my hookless tyre blowoff. The fault was with the wheel, not the tyre, but their involvement was impressive.
We all remember mate, some wannabe "influenzas" ended up looking like real muppetdecs after that, eh? He is still to apologise for the slander, right?
@@hughjanus7354 haha, yes indeed, no apology whatsoever.....
What tires did bigham and Ganna ride, hr record? What width? What pressure?
Will you publish the insights. We as loyal customers will really dig into the data. 😊
Is that Luke Plapp’s bike?
#plapped
That was Luke Plapp’s bike 😅
Conti #1
so can u publicate results?
It’s cool, but would you mind sharing what you found, I promise I won’t tell the other teams ;)
❤
All those pan flat races with banked corners will be a sure thing after this.
Physics is universal 😉
What was the conclusion? Are the tyres suitable? Are they good?
They're the best, why waste time trying anything else?
results?
Did grant go on this trip w Dan?
So, what's the conclusion? 🤔
Tyre size and pressure is very important 🤫
@@danbigham6184oh really? I had no idea. 😊 Irony aside, have you noticed similar results to Silca tire pressure research? I mean, the increased rolling resistance when the tire pressure is too high? Research like this could benefit the entire cycling community. It would also be easier to convince my friends that 25mm tires at 120PSI are not the thing anymore. 😅
I recently tried the GP 5000 TT TR in 28mm tubeless and the performance was mindblowing, its hard to even describe how fast you go and how effortless you hold your speed. Its insane.
Try vredestein tricomp fortezza tyres, much better than any continental
@@michaelcullen4990 I need 28mm and tubeless
@@michaelcullen4990LOL, please write more, it's amusing.
Aren't they a Shimano sponsored team? Seems Dan is not trusting the power crank and using speed pay powet pedals instead...
Shimano powermeters are shiiiit
Dual recording power sources 👌🏼
Did you check tire pressure with an electronic after pumping?.. Cuz you pump 100% shows you the wrong numbers.
You can see them checking at 3:46.
Yes, separate gauge 🤓
Waiting for the BS .. '"Let's dive in'"..
Next test - how much slower are disc brakes at speeds over 25kph or gradients over 3%.
They won't want to know anything about this question of yours, they won't ever look into it, I feel u Harley, disc for dirt, rim brake for road, if u know u know 👌💯🇨🇮
Alright grandad
Conti tires are just too hard to mount. They should work on them to fit carbon rims easier. I've switched to Pirelli's. Great tires.
Conti is easy
I confirm that conti are too hard to mount on carbon wheels. I also switched on pirelli pzero race, it is more easy
conti are easy. Ive been using them since 1997. It is just your technique brother. Give me ANY conti on ANY rim and I will get it on with no tire levers. Even the ebike tires and they are HARDCORE stiff.
Watch my vids on tire installation. Always squeeze the beads into the middle of the rim channel for easiest install with no levers required. IYKYK.
@@durianridersi suggest you to share your technic via a video 😉
Yep Conti especially tubeless are stupid hard…and I’ve been using them for 20yrs. I won’t even buy them now. Pirelli are much better.
Pointless video.
Boring……………..
