One thing the doc didn't touch on was that Henley was reluctant to bring Walsh into the band in 1976. He felt that Walsh being allowed to continue with his solo career outside the band wouldn't mix with the band's philosophy of "the songs are the stars, not us". He was also concerned that Walsh wasn't as discreet with his personal excesses as the rest of the band.
