Great idea. I think a lunch cookbook first would be fun noting the lunches she prepares for Josh and the kids along with stories and have them give each lunch a rating.
For your Traeger you can buy a "blanket" to help keep the temp steady. My husband has one he puts on it during the winter or if its super windy. He also has a wifi thermometer so he can monitor the temp from inside. Also, he put his on top of a rolling toolbox so he can put his utensils, pellets etc in the cabinet/drawer. Its nice for him to roll it where he wants it then roll it back to store (closer to the house and out of the way- we have a smaller patio)
Oh my goodness Kristin, can I just say,I love the fact that you always try new things.i love it that you cook on the grill.😊 absolutely fantastic video 😊 you're amazing 🤩 I hope you all are doing great and keeping warm 🙏😊have a wonderful day family 💘🙏🙏
Thank you so very much for all of your hard work. I watch one of your videos for some reason. I love your voice and you seem to go slow and show every little thing good or bad and I truly appreciate that because we all know what can happen when you cook, a little hint, you can freeze fresh parsley and fresh cilantro. I just got finished cutting up fresh cilantro, and putting it in the freezer when you need it you have it. I just put it in a Ziploc bag with my bell peppers whether I am cutting strips for fajitasor just cubing small bites for anything else that I want to put bell pepper in knowledge is power keep up the good work
Hi Kristin! I just thought I’d let you know, I’ve lived in Southern California my whole life and have never seen a Cali burrito marinated with soy sauce. Cali burritos are mainly at Mexican restaurants out here and they are made with just a typical carne asada marinade. I would try it that way next time and definitely leave out the soy sauce next time and I think you will enjoy it so much more!! Love your videos as always!
I'm always so hesitant about cooking the super thin steak because it always overcooks so easily. I discovered letting it marinate like you did really does help so much. Always enjoy watching your videos! I've been watching a you for over 2 years now
I wish my kids would love meals like this - my youngest has ADHD/AU - it's a huge win if I can get him to eat something other than chicken nuggets and ramen noodles. I really want to try the potato soup, I think my husband would love it!
My kids were a lot pickier when they were younger and dinner time was a struggle. They still have their moments from time to time where they don’t want to try everything I cook, so I just make them something else.
For the queso, we do fresh jalapeños instead of the chopped chilies and in my opinion it’s spot on for restaurant style. I’ve tried the canned chilis before and the flavor is definitely off. If you try it this way I hope you like it!! 💗 love your videos so much
For New Year’s I made Brian Lagerstrom’s queso recipe and it was amazing. (You could just leave out the onions.). We had some leftovers and I used it to smother some frozen chicken taquitos for a quick lunch.
I live in southern NH. Work 15 min. North of Boston. It’s actually scary that we’ve only had 2 “snows” so far and it was barely anything. The past 3-4 years have been sparse snow wise. Sorry, but us new englanders laugh watching southerners get snow and it’s a mess. I know you guys aren’t equipped with how to deal with it, but we see that and I’m like I can haul down the highway no problem in that 😂 stay safe, look online on how to deal with it.
Looks delicious 💜. I've never cooked with chorizo either & always wondered how it taste. I've actually bought it twice & never used it when I had it, lol. I was always afraid I wouldn't know when it was done bc of it's color. I will try that recipe to see if I actually like the taste of it. I'm on a low income & I just moved back into my newly renovated apartment. I threw out my old cookware. Do you have any suggestions for any inexpensive but decent quality cookware?
I have never been able to recreate that restaurant style cheese dip, but I do buy a kroger brand one in the deli section by the salsa that we love and it's pretty dang close.
I tried to make biscuits last week and it was a nightmare 😢 I am not sure if I will try again or just go with store bought. I’ve seen you make them before and you make it look so easy lol.. it all looks delicious as always! I hope you have a blessed week!
there was a time when i kept wondering why some people seemed to naturally draw others in while i was just…there. no matter what i tried, i couldn’t figure out how they did it. then someone mentioned the book Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and i decided to check it out. the way it explains how your aura affects everything around you? it blew me away. it’s like having a secret code to unlock your magnetic energy. this book is a game-changer.
I watch for the beautiful meals and your accent❤❤❤❤. I just can’t eat chorizo. If I had never looked at the ingredients I would’ve been ok. Lymph nodes just don’t appeal to me😂😂
Kristen, I watch many of your episodes. But it seems like you make many of the same simple meals over and over, I don’t know why you film so much redundancy. I see I need to tune in much less frequently. I literally can forecast what’s on your recipe roster on repeat.
This seems to be an opinion you should have kept to yourself. She's making what she and her family enjoy for crying out loud. It's easy to be kind. If you aren't interested, then don't watch. Very simple. The fact that you feel the need to tear her down is just sad. Why is it necessary to inform her that you'll be watching less? Is her whole world supposed to crumble at the idea of an individual griping about their own expectations not being met? She's a sweet lady who happens to share what she makes for her family. She's not here to reach goals set by a viewer. Get over yourself. 🙄
i remember this one time i felt like no matter what i did, people just didn’t notice me. i tried everything-confidence boosters, social tips, you name it-but nothing seemed to work. then i found this book, Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and it completely shifted how i saw myself. it’s not just about being noticed; it’s about understanding the energy you project. honestly, this book made all the difference for me. if you’ve ever felt invisible, you need to read it.
We need a Kristin Stepp cookbook or recipe book. You share a lot of delicious recipes.
Great idea. I think a lunch cookbook first would be fun noting the lunches she prepares for Josh and the kids along with stories and have them give each lunch a rating.
❤️❤️❤️
YESSS!!
Yes for sure a cookbook please 😊
Yess! That way I don’t have to go back and watch the video or pull up the recipe
I love the way you've been saying "If you're into that" after talking about onions, makes me giggle every time xD if you know you know hahaha
😂😂
I love this too I am definitely an onion powder person 🤣
I love your videos! Carneasada marinade is usually a beer, a squeezed orange, squeezed lime, garlic, seasonings… not soysauce at all 😊
As a southern california native.. i love that you are making cali burritos !!
next time try meat+french fries+ shredded cheese+sour cream & pico!
Chorizo makes the best breakfast tacos. Cook it up and then scramble eggs rights into the pan. Super easy.
A whole video of Deliciousness!!😋 I don't blame your baby girl, that soup looks SOOOO Good!🤤🤤
Thank you so much!!
AHHHH I love the frequent uploads 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 so good!!!
I’m really trying haha! ❤️❤️
Love your videos! I have watched them all. You really provide a lot of inspiration and ideas for us who love a good home cooked meal! Thank you!😊
Aw thank you so much, that means a lot to me!

Potato Soup is my favorite! I also use instant mashed potatoes to thicken it up. Thank you for the meal ideas.

Potato soup is definitely a family favorite around here! All of your recipes look yummy!
Yess! & thank you!
I’m at work and just saw this. Yay there’s a video from Kristen Stepp! Can’t wait to go home and sit and watch it! 😊

Bad idea to watch this when hungry 😂😂 could eat everyone of these, but the bbq chicken looked so good!
Ooh lovely meal ideas definitely gonna give them a go thanks Kristin 🤍 see u next week
My dad is going to LOVE that chorizo biscuits and gravy! I'm so excited to make it for him thank you for sharing it❤
It was seriously delicious!!

Growing up eating Portuguese food I learned that Linguisa is a bit more mild than the chorizo - we mix it in with scrambled eggs and it’s great 👍
Kristin I loved all of the meals you shared especially the potato soup so yummy and comforting on cold days. The chessy beef and shells look yummy
Thank you!!
I'm always so hesitant about cooking the super thin steak because it always overcooks so easily. I discovered letting it marinate like you did really does help so much.
Always enjoy watching your videos! I've been watching a you for over 2 years now
Add rotell and cilantro to your queso! Definitely helps give the flavor 😄
I love potato soup!! Thank you!
Never too much potato anything!
@@andreamcneal5911 I agree wholeheartedly with you!
Those Cali burritos look absolutely amazing. Will be trying that in the future 🩵
Thank you!!
Next time you make the chorizo gravy try adding some sour cream or cream cheese in it to tone down the heat.
Great dinner 🥗🥣🍝 ideals! I love to hear you talk. That Kentucky accent. Lol
I do not even eat meat but I love watching you cook. Thanks for sharing your ideas
Aw thank you!!
I love making chorizo and potato tacos with cilantro and onion .

Potato soup is on my menu this week. I’m serving it with some ham and cheese sliders 👍🏻
Good job❤️❤️
Thank you!!
I liked that measuring utensil you used
Love love love your videos!
My favorite cheese is pepper jack.
Excellent video! With the chorizo try it with a black bean soup with corn and hominy! Top with sour cream and all the fixens👍🏼
Thank you!! That sounds so good.
For New Year’s I made Brian Lagerstrom’s queso recipe and it was amazing. (You could just leave out the onions.). We had some leftovers and I used it to smother some frozen chicken taquitos for a quick lunch.
Looks delicious!!
In Mexico we eat tacos de chorizo just like carne asada tacos. Chorizo is meant to be spicy. We just add cilantro and onions. Really good
Great recipes!,,,
All looks SO great! ❤
Thank you!!
Looking forward to more of What's in Your Husband's Lunch Box videos.
amazing recipe
Looks SOOO delicious 😋🥰🥰💖💖🔥🔥🔥🔥

I don’t know why but baked tomatoes are just so good
I agree!!
I love your plates! Are they a new pattern or vintage?
Thanks for sharing

I’ll have to try it!
any tips on keeping up with recipes or family favorites? I am tired of eating same things but I forget things.
Do you use Pinterest? That’s where I store our favorite recipes!
I've been to her restaurant here in Oklahoma its been many years. I recommend if you take the trip to definitely try it if you do!
That would be a dream!!
Love your video 😊
Thank you!!
They all look delicious. I'm hungry now for that pasta. I love cheese. LOL

I’ve seen you make them before and you make it look so easy lol..
it all looks delicious as always! I hope you have a blessed week!
My favorite tip that makes it a lot easier is using a food processor to cut the butter into the flour! & thank you so much, I hope you do too!
@ thank you! I appreciate it
Ty for the recipes from Vancouver Island (comox)

1 lb white American 1 small can off green Chiles milk that is all that is in the restaurant queso
I don't know if you've tried it, but Gordos queso is really good! You just microwave it.
Yes! We do love that one, that’s probably the closest to restaurant style that I’ll be able to get.
@@KristinStepp I agree. And honestly, probably around the same cost of some of the recipes I've tried.
Can you do what you put in your kids and husbands lunch box please😊
Yes! I’m working on both currently 🥰
I know you’ve talked about your Dad being a good cook. Does he watch your videos?
Idk if he watches every single one of them but yes he does watch.
cool

Aw thank you!! & oh goodness I didn’t know that, I thought it was just like regular sausage but with different spices.
@@KristinSteppit is just regular sausage but with different spices. Not really sure where this person got “lymph nodes” from 😂
