"THIS IS ONE OF BEST TUTORIAS ABOUT HOW THE ISO.SHUTTER SPEED AND APERTURE WORK.... THE VIDEO EXPLAIN EXACTLY WHAT THE BEGINNERS NEED TO KNOW....... LETS GOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CANON TEAM!"
this is GREAT!!!!! i've been browsing youtube all day for clear definitions like the ones you gave. also with a great analogy for even more clarification. and you're voice is a lot more pleasant to listen to than a lot of the unclear asians i've been finding =) Thanks much, and please keep posting!!
Excelent!!! I have my Camerea Canon EOS1000D for a year now and I was going crazy about the Iso, Aperture and Shutter. you made it so easy for me to understand because you well articulated english and graphics. can not wait for the next chapter. well done.:)
The best tutorial yet I have seen. Very very very well explained, great graphics. I have a nikon d90 with nikor 18-105, tokina 11-16mm and nikor 35mm f1.8
I was in complete lost when I was first picked up a film SLR, didnt know anything about ISO, Aperture, Shutter. Then when I switch to DSLR I could finaly understand what you are saying. I picked up the Canon t2i because of the video capabilities. Really a great camera for both video and stills. make sure to pick up that 50mm 1.8 for portrait shots a must have!
@xexodusx you need to either raise your ISO. Prolong your shutter speed and possibly open up your aperture. Low light I would suggest an ISO of 400 or higher. Also open up your aperture to 2.8 or wider. 4.5 is really hard to shoot in low light unless you use a slower shutter speed and then you must have the camera stabilized. If you shoot with a wider aperture than you can get away with using a faster shutter speed. Also remember the higher you go in ISO setting you risk noise.
Thank you for the great tutorial this will help me a lot on the job i am applying right now...one of the requirements is I must have a knowledge in photography and this tutorials are giving me a lot of information regarding photography..thank you very much and more power..
That was some good advise I just got my first DSLR camera and was shoot with a 250 mm lens and you advised not to shoot below 1/250 of a sec unless you have a tripod which makes sense.
I'm new and found this tutorial very interesting. I am sure once I get my head around all this camera stuff it should start falling into place, I hope!
Thank you for all your episodes. Brilliant work! I HAVE A "MUST PLEASE IMMEDIATE" QUESTION AS A I HAVE AN IMMEDIATE CHALLENGE...... My frustration is that I was in a restaurant, low lighting, they didn't want flashes going off and people wanted their picture taken. I needed to be within 3 feet of them and needed to capture at least a 6 foot wide range that is crisp, clear, no noise etc. The photographer that was there told me the lens he was using and I lost where I wrote it down. Grrrr.... I really need the same lens he was using to match up with my Canon 7D. I have to shoot in the same conditions this weekend. I really need to know what the top lenses that would work in that kind of environment AND do i shoot in AV, TV, Manual, P or? to get the best out of the lens and the settings. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, if you can please advise. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
i'm totally new in this camera thing, would like to learn it! thanks for the video! But I tried 1000th of a second shutter speed, then the picture got really really REALLY dark.. Is there something wrong with my ISO settings? thanks
omg i knew about the whole this but i had hard time on my f stops and my shutter now i get my whole camera ,.... thanks but now i want to know more about how this work together which is the next view for this
Hi Bro! i liked your tutorial. keep the good work! i would like to order for Canon EOS 70D. since i am a beginner to DSLR photography. could you please advice me?
So what shutter speed should I be using for the kit lens of my 60d? Indoors, I have been using between 1/25 to 1/30 shutter speed depending on what zoom I had the lens at.
@CanonAustralia when the video has finished it does not say which video is next, number 2 etc it just gives you a selection. When you click on one it could be nunber four when you are looking for number 3. It would be easier if they were numbered in order to watch. 1,2,3,4 etc.

The slower the shutter speed you let more light in the faster less light. Depends if your indoor or outdoor as well.
Nice video, thanks.
