In 2016 I was eyeing Montgomery AL and the homes were around $80K on average. I am not talking about the rich areas but these were beautiful homes... Now those same homes are $140K

@@CatesCube you got a timing, how do feel Montgomery life so far?
@@joannxiao9601 The weather is alot different than California where there is rain nearly 5 out of 7 days a week and the amount of rain is immense. I have those large planters one usually places near the pool to add a plant in them and they fill right up in 1- 2 days of rain. This gives the landscape a very lush atmosphere, green grass unlike what we would experience in CA. The population is 60% black and 40% white and before I moved here I did not have bad feelings about the races as I love the mix of races in California. I love it so much. There is an Asian population in Montgomery but they must be in the richer areas. There is super large grocery store for International foods which caters to all foods like Asian foods. There is also a population of Mexicans but not so much. Again I prefer to live where there is a huge mix of the people... The customer service here is rather poor in my opinion. In California everything is 100% perfectly running with high efficiency and in Montgomery, there is a lot of human error which has my patience running low. I did cry because I do not like this fact. However if you can shop mostly in the Eastern side of town and you will have a great health insurance carrier, hopely this wont matter. Montgomery is possibly the most beautiful city full of gorgeous homes for all income levels. The ability to choose a home prior to the Pandemic was a dream. However now prices have shot up and I no longer think that home buying will be as affordable for all. However, I am sure this won't affect you persay. I would really like to see more people from all over the USA come to Montgomery, AL I hope you understand what I say. If anything is not clear please feel free to comment.
@@joannxiao9601 Also too there is what I was told there is "Prairy Soil" so never choose a home in the central part of Montgomery, AL as the foundation can cave in...I saw beautiful homes that were sold so cheap and there is a reason why...its sad but its the truth. A good realtor should always help you avoid such problems.
What about the rental - Studio or 1 Bedroom single family house.

From talking with friends and family, I have heard that families with children have to take into consideration the public school system.
