@@andrewalexander9508 to clarify, I was alluding to not hearing specifically if this was a sponsored video by Razer or if Razer just sent them the product, but did not sponsor the unboxing. My comment on the scripting is in regards to having the sponsor segment only be in the middle of the video instead of two at the beginning and end, which definitely threw me off.
@@foglebr My guess some of this is shake up from earlier. PowerColor hasn't ever sponsored them and there was another one earlier this week where I thought it seemed like a company I normally would not expect from an LTT video. My guess is this one they only could scrounge up a single sponsor and honestly probably a bit of a stretch to think short circuit needs two sponsors.
What is up with the unnecessary switching of camera angles 10 times between 3:30 and 4:10, give it some dutch angles and it is like watching a modern action scene. Ease up on it.
I switched to using IEM's for streaming a few years ago so i know why they say it. It's much easier and more comfortable than big gaming headphones or like i was using a set of planar magnetics. As a content creator, on camera this allows a lot more of your face to be seen and can be perceived as more natural.
Wonder how they compare to KZ ZSN Pro X earbuds? What would make them different? You can get those with a mic for like, 25 USD? I've got a pair and I'm not sure what makes these worth $100 more?
Maybe hire some audio engineers to properly test products, or have the host actually look at the data before making a video? Razer isn't about quality, they're about pumping out products with their logos for a high price standard.
Okay I haven't finished the video yet and will make a premature call that could make look stupid but from the response curve alone one can tell that these iem's will be horrible for a lot of games
The eartips look like those used in the Shure SE215 (or all SE for that matter) and for my ears they tend to start to irritate the skin in my ear pretty fast, which results in pain while wearing them
It's not really that out of the question. Sure or etymotic IEMs can attenuate more noise at even cheaper prices. Some higher end IEMs will attenuate less noise, as a trade off for venting for tuning
For streaming I use the "Sennheiser Professional HD 25". I'd be hard pressed to find something better (audio monitoring wise/quality) for the price range (at $145 they are amazing) but the temptation to have in ear versus over-ear is alluring to me (especially for someone with glasses).
3:46 gaming headphones are usual treble forward to help with picking up sounds like footsteps/reloads/actions, and aren't bass heavy. So i bit of a strange comment.
During the first 3 hours the 15sec un-skippable forces me to exit the app for two hours… this channel may need to be yet another channel I avoid as a subscription and just trust RUclips to serve it to me after the rush is over. Please fix.
Whether it’s a good product or not, they called it an eating your monitor because it is not a headset. Terminology gets a little weird, but I can see with certainty that an N air monitor would not come with a microphone. As far as I know, those were developed, either for television, or for musicians, and in either case, there’s no reason why they would have a microphone. Perhaps razer will offer this same product with a microphone, but they won’t call it an in ear monitor.
In Ear Monitor is a bit confusing since it just means any earphone that seals in your ear canal. While the original use for that form factor was for stage use, any earphone with a silicone, foam, or custom tip is considered an IEM. So even something like airpods pro are IEMs. There are lots of IEMs nowadays with microphones, and even some with boom mics
It's not confusing, it's right there in the name A set of earpods or earbuds can have both IEM and a microphone, I suppose, but adding a mic changes an IEM to something else Otherwise, what do words mean? Why bother having them if their meaning will change? Stand with me at this line, won't you?@@sidesaladaudio
IEMs arent designed to be used with a mic. Everyone i know who uses them is also using a mic and the cable from the IEMs runs down the back of my shirt to my hookup to stay out of the way during a performance or broadcast. Not trying to hate but this seems like basic knowledge for this type of headphones.
An inline mic is common for consumer IEMs, since most people who aren't performers wear the cable in front. There's also IEMs with a boom mic that is attached to the earhook and comes out under your ear
@@sidesaladaudio ah well i guess ive mostly worked with musicians who havent needed it because they are strictly playing or when im streaming and i have my mic in front of me. Thanks for the info!
No you're right, almost all IEMs do not have an inline mic because they are used as monitors. There are obviously a few exceptions on the low end of the market. I can't think of any IEM over $100 that has an inline mic, usually at that price if you wanted a mic you would just do a cable swap@@brainitch_studio
Depends, you can get bluetooth adapters for IEMs. The real appeal is a much lower price point than TWS sets that are actually good (airpod pros, galaxy buds 2), that will be comparable and sometimes better in the 30 to 50 dollar range.
Are we all just going to ignore the perfection of this video ? I mean just looking at this video gives me a feeling of satisfaction. The colours are just perfectly matched. Even the ginger beard looks great with the colours in the background.
what good iem comes with in-line mic? even big brands like sennheisers dont come with in-line mic. why you have that as a negative is beyond me. also i hate in-line mics on a cable it just adds points of failure.
Yet still you skipped Blackshark V2 2023, which finally got an amazing mic for wireless headphones... And now they released cheaper version of that - Blackshark V2 HyperSpeed. But you choose some crappy in-ears 🙄
There's just so many good iems in that price range and far below it that these just seem like a bad deal, but at least they are not actually a bad product as well.

If it's stuck in your ear
But still sounds crystal clear
That's razer moray
If it's breaking your bank
Not built like a tank
Razer moray!!
Buds will ping, ting a ling ling and you’ll sing: “why’d I buy this?”
Your wallet will say: “no tippy for ye, I’m over drawn… eh.”
misspelled razer in the pricing tag at 5:28
What is up with the unnecessary switching of camera angles 10 times between 3:30 and 4:10, give it some dutch angles and it is like watching a modern action scene. Ease up on it.
Simgot EM6L is a better option imo in that $100+ price range
I switched to using IEM's for streaming a few years ago so i know why they say it. It's much easier and more comfortable than big gaming headphones or like i was using a set of planar magnetics. As a content creator, on camera this allows a lot more of your face to be seen and can be perceived as more natural.
Wonder how they compare to KZ ZSN Pro X earbuds? What would make them different? You can get those with a mic for like, 25 USD? I've got a pair and I'm not sure what makes these worth $100 more?
they arent worth that mcuh
Maybe hire some audio engineers to properly test products, or have the host actually look at the data before making a video? Razer isn't about quality, they're about pumping out products with their logos for a high price standard.
Okay I haven't finished the video yet and will make a premature call that could make look stupid but from the response curve alone one can tell that these iem's will be horrible for a lot of games
Literally yes, but he doesn't mention that.
and music
The eartips look like those used in the Shure SE215 (or all SE for that matter) and for my ears they tend to start to irritate the skin in my ear pretty fast, which results in pain while wearing them
What does IEM stand for? Can you Explain Abbreviations if they're going to be used in such a manner?
In Ear Monitor. Basically any earphone that seals in your ear canal
@@sidesaladaudio Thanks!
There’s no way in hell they provide 36db of isolation when $1,000 Peltor Comtacs and Ops Core Amps only provide 28db
IEMs will pretty much always be better performers than headphones, I have DCA Aeon Flows, HD700, HE4XX and my 7Hz Timeless will beat any of them
I do not like this dude let Dan do the audio stuff
3:46 gaming headphones are usual treble forward to help with picking up sounds like footsteps/reloads/actions, and aren't bass heavy. So i bit of a strange comment.
During the first 3 hours the 15sec un-skippable forces me to exit the app for two hours… this channel may need to be yet another channel I avoid as a subscription and just trust RUclips to serve it to me after the rush is over.
Please fix.
not a single guy on this forsaken planet is buying IEMs for telephone calls, in my opinion the usually shitty mic would just clutter the cable
You can get some KZ or Moondrop IEM's for a fraction of that price($25-$100) with much better performance. Razer's tax is absolutely ridiculous.
It's not confusing, it's right there in the name
A set of earpods or earbuds can have both IEM and a microphone, I suppose, but adding a mic changes an IEM to something else
Otherwise, what do words mean? Why bother having them if their meaning will change?
Stand with me at this line, won't you?@@sidesaladaudio
Way too overpriced for what it is, chi-fi is the answer.
So, it’s 20 buck KZ with razer logo?
KZ is tuned better
This is highly overpriced and the tune is bad. L for this one
Considering KZ iems exist at the prices they do, the price for these is horrendous
These iems will disappoint. Now back to the segway to our sponsor
Good review! The editing of the camera views is a bit like watching a crappy cable tv production from a decade ago though. Makes me a bit dizzy.
I expected him to say they were like 70$ and already thinking these were too pricey.
so you need an adapter to use them on most phones ?
Depends, you can get bluetooth adapters for IEMs. The real appeal is a much lower price point than TWS sets that are actually good (airpod pros, galaxy buds 2), that will be comparable and sometimes better in the 30 to 50 dollar range.
Are we all just going to ignore the perfection of this video ?
I mean just looking at this video gives me a feeling of satisfaction. The colours are just perfectly matched. Even the ginger beard looks great with the colours in the background.
AYYYY YOOO! 2:59 is that a death grips hoodie?!?! lesssssssss go!
what good iem comes with in-line mic? even big brands like sennheisers dont come with in-line mic. why you have that as a negative is beyond me. also i hate in-line mics on a cable it just adds points of failure.
I don't like this guy's reviews
That really looks like a repacked SE-215, or something from Shure.
Yet still you skipped Blackshark V2 2023, which finally got an amazing mic for wireless headphones... And now they released cheaper version of that - Blackshark V2 HyperSpeed.
But you choose some crappy in-ears 🙄
impressed by the sensitivity or is that normal for earbuds?
-in response to the video title-
I think you were wrong about a LOT of things given the recent LTT drama on misinformation.
My wingspan is longer than i am tall lol
I don't like how the camera shot switches with every sentence
comfort is great, no mic is a miss, case is nice, tuning is not great. better cheaper IEMs out there better for gaming (or streaming for that matter)
There's just so many good iems in that price range and far below it that these just seem like a bad deal, but at least they are not actually a bad product as well.
I'll feel bad for anyone that buys this when you can get the moondrop aria for $80
I love Razer based on looks and features but all my Razer products have broken for whatever reason vs my others gadgets(ROG, Lenovo, Corsair, Red Dragon, etc).. Wish their quality is better..
Razer is overpriced anyway expect their budget gaming mouse.
Bought some 1more triple driver and while amazing they do not last, once the refund comes I am going to upgrade and try these
No way did he say “as in that’s a” when referring to the name of the headphones 😂😂😂 well done
Im sorry but the fact that Dan wasn't doing this one is killing me. I love adams video personality and work but man this one is out of touch with the product. no mic complaint..uh yeah? if your not using a dedicated interface mic combo then this product isn't even for you..
get someone who actually knows what they're talking about...
Crinnacle already looked at these right?
There are much better Chinese options available for 130 freedom rubles
I think everyone gets worried when they see large nozzles
Genuinely feel Razer and LTT are out of their element when it comes to IEMs.
even for "monitoring"/"streaming".. these iems are an over priced miss like 98% of razor product
I got the razer barracuda for $100. It came with a microphone and is wireless
1. $130 is absolutely unreasonable for IEMs
2. The critique of no inline mic makes no sense for IEMs.
$130 is a pretty good price for IEMs, just not these ones.
@@sidesaladaudio It's a mega competetive pricepoint as well which hosts some of the best value for your money. It's crazy that Razer even entered the market to begin with.
