  • Please remember to chock the wheels so the vehicle does not roll. Pull safely to the side of the road on a flat surface, turn on hazard lights, refer to owners manual for more safety precautions

Thank you so much for posting this it helped us in a way that you might not have expected. I work at a Walmart automotive and my associate and I could not figure out why the winch brace would not seat properly in a customer's spare wheel. I haven't done many with that kind of brace, but I had done one before and couldn't figure out why it wasn't seating. After seeing the brace in the spare tire on your video, I realized that the tab that goes just inside against the hub hole on ours was bent when it was supposed to be straight up and down. My coworker knocked it back straight with a hammer and we were back in business!

I miss my truck... Everything is so accessible and easy to reach. Appreciate the tips Danny. 😺🙌Edit, he said chock the wheels 9 times in this video. The last two "chocks" were towards the end of the video. Remember to be safe. 😻

Just pulled my spare down for the first time on my 21 tundra. Sidewall has deep indentations from where it mates to the truck. Toyota says it’s not a warranty issue even though I’m within factory warranty 😡

Yes by all means jack up a body on frame vehicle by the frame. I was so ignorant many moons ago when I had a Crown Vic I jacked it up by the body where you usually would and while in the air the fender was binding on the door because the body was flexing.
Also came out one day to see the windshield had cracked right down the middle over night. Don't know if that had anything to do with it but it makes sense.

Drive about 5 miles and then stop. Retorque the lugs and your good to go.
