    That transition from the fish tank to the Loch is insane

      I like the transitions in this movie, works so much better than typical hollywood flashbacks, filled with expositions dump. The story flows and you get immersed in Mcleod memories.

      @@alexandarvoncarsteinzarovi3723 I'd actually buy that. The only question would be who would dare whom. Duncan was discreet with his immortality, while Connor had fun with his. But Duncan's not above the occasional prank or two. I would say Connor because he drowned in this Ness and would con Duncan the same way Ramirez forced Connor to realize he can't drown.
      *Connor:* I remember it like it was yesterday, that Spanish Peacock tossed me in the Ness.
      *Duncan:* You were under the Loch Ness? Did you see the monster while you were down there?
      *Connor:* No......But you know where I'm going with this right?
      *Duncan:* So if you're not lying to me, we can go underwater and put some kind of effigy to scare the locals? Connor, I've seen you pull some jokes in my times, but nope. I don't believe it. Wait. Where are the paddles?

    In the comics there is a scene where trhe kurgan goes overboard in the middle of the sea with the finaly shot being him walking on the ocean floor. I just reallised that he propably had to march all the way from bumbfuck nowhere underwater to the next island and thats ingredibly funny to me!

    What a scene, truly only many years later did I appreciate it, also this proves the myth that there is no Loch Ness monster, that or Connor & Duncan got really drunk and got up to something really crazy! :D

    ever watch The Big Blue -? Profound movie, water, friendship, mortality, complex, layered, unspoken . . .I've said too much!
    Probably my 3rd favorite movie, and transcendent soundtrack.
    Don't confuse with big blue . . . it's THE Big Blue.
    PS funny clip, I loved this when it came out, it was actually pretty original at that time. My friends and I used to quote it with that thick accent : )

  • @Shanethefilmmaker
    @Shanethefilmmaker 8 месяцев назад +2

    By the way, I have an in-universe explanation for why Sean Connery didn't drop the accent. In the beginning when Connor was arrested for suspicion of murder, one of the cops said that Connor talked funny. Lambert while trying to mask his usual French accent, tried to do a mix of accents in which only an immortal whom has been around the world for centuries could learn from hearing everyone else.
    Ramirez said he was Egyptian, he learned Spanish on top of the accent from one of his employers. And of all places he goes to Scotland to train a warrior. So needless to say he's practicing off MacLeod. While in reality Lambert is practicing off Connery. I'm pretty sure Lambert asked what Haggis was and reacted the same way Ramirez reacted here.

    Too bad the writers of the Highlander series forgot this little piece of information. I want to say they had three immortals drown and revive as opposed to what Connor just did.

    A real low point in the movie. MacLeod can breathe under water? And it seems quite unlikely he'd would have grown up along the shores of a huge lake and never learned to swim and also dislike boats.
