I've owned the 40mm version for a year. The long winding time is a result of the extraordinarily weak click spring that is enabling the silent and seemingly frictionless winding, which is part of the charm of the watch. The downside however is that due to the lack of click resistance, when you get past the first 20% or so of the mainspring wound, the force of the mainspring unwinds almost the entirety of the typical quarter turn winding motion. You can see this for yourself by winding the watch face down to look at the movement. As you wind with quarter turns you can see the rachet wheel advance as you wind it, then as you lift off for the next quarter turn see the rachet wheel move in the reverse direction before the click re-engages and stops it. You're taking one step forward and (mostly) one step back. Now that you see what's going on, you can actually feel the crown reverse direction between turns. The solution is to never release the crown between turns. Use your index finger to hold the crown in place, glide your thumb back and wind another quarter turn, and repeat. Almost like you are continuously screwing/drilling the crown into the watch. Be careful not to overwind when you "hit the wall" of the fully wound mainspring to avoid breaking the stem (or the mainspring). Takes about 1 minute to fully wind and get the full 65 hour reserve. Also, do NOT attempt anything absurd like holding the crown in place and twisting the body of the watch to wind it. I assume the rotating mass of the body of the watch would generate enough torque to break the mainspring or snap the stem.
Thank you so much for your thorough explanation. Where were you 12 months when I needed this info? 😆 I recently took my watch in for a health check and I told them my concerns about the winding. They explained the exact same thing to me (not as good an explanation as yours). Haven't had any issues since then
ive tried on the 40mm 82035 at local boutique store and it`s just too large for my taste, however, im impressed with its thickness and how it its on my wrist . the 36.5 mm 1100s may seem too small on paper but man does it look good on your wrist! i`ll definitely go for the 36.5mm.
What’s the reference number of your son’s steering wheel? Might be my grail purchase someday. That’s a great watch. I am surprised they treat the 36mm variant more as a ladies option when you demonstrated that it is larger than most 36mm watches and the 40mm is just large. Always appreciate your sense of humor in your posts.
This is one of the most beautiful watches ever designed and i love vc. But pls tell me how a 40k watch doesn't have any golden chatons? 😢 I just feel like it's all absurd prices and not much in return there days

It's an amazing watch. The greatest I've ever owned. The only untouchable watch in the collection.
Thanks for watching 🙏
36.5 is perfect. Gorgeous watch. Hope to have the exact same model someday
Do it man. Live is too short to wear generic plain Jane watches!
Absolutely overwhelmingly beautiful watch. You’re a lucky man. Wear it in good health my friend 🙏
Thank you very much.
I do feel blessed to own such a beautiful piece 😊
Nice video, I tried this size on in the boutique and am considering it as I found it more impressive in person than I thought I would.
It is an amazing piece. I'm still in awe of it after 12 months.
You should definitely consider it 😊
“I was well hydrated that year” 😂 cool content bro, congrats on your successes
Thanks bro.
If recklessly spending 10,000s on watches is considered successful. I must be super successful 🤣
Beautiful mate, definitely a masterpiece, love those Breguet hands ❤ enjoy it .
Thank you. Definitely one of not many
Thanks for this Video. I had the 40 mm version but it was too big fir my wrist.
I will change for the unisex version. I just love this watch.

Haha thanks for your support.
36.5mm is the way to go for the majority. It's a lot cheaper too which is a bonus.

I can't answer that question. Definitely an oversight by vc.
Hard to justify the astronomical prices
