I should note, I used a 60 W MagSafe charger, so that's why the battery wasn't charging during screen recording! I seem to have lost my 85 W, so I'll need to replace that soon...
Probably not, especially at that price. The dGPUs have such high failure rate that it's likely not worth it. If the GPU is failing, you won't be able to install an OS and disable it-your only option would be to use Dosdude1's hardware disabling method, which requires extensive electronics knowledge. Mine just happened to have a working one, so I was able to install an OS and disable it using the software. To disable it in software, you want to go here (dosdude1.com/gpudisable/ ) and follow the instructions.
@@thenetworkmysteryHow can i disable the dGpu even tho it's working fine? Do i have to put the codes like those gpu failed videos? or i can just go to the cmd in os option bcs it's still working fine? Ty in advance!
@@shenooo_77 Not sure what videos you're talking about, but if you follow the instructions in the link above, you'll be able to disable it in software successfully.

Thanks!
It Still a good device 👍
Right!
How did you disable the dGpu? I'm planning to buy one for 100$, with 8gb ram and 256gb ssd, and runs in Bigsur. Do you think it's still worth it?
