I don’t think their are misconceptions of single mothers because the negative views are not linked to hard working, well educated women who really carry about the wellbeing of their kids. I think you know that as well.
I love this! I nap when my son naps too and realized I had to clean, do laundry, and get what we need done when he is awake. I quickly had to accept that me-time and self-care is so important to be a decent mom for my baby.
Great content! When I was a new mom, I brought so much stuff before my son was born that I didn't use. I learned to not buy because of the excitement of shopping, but buy due to the necessity!
The guest has a very infectiously positive personality. Even the interviewer is so grounded and asking all the right questions. Thanks for this, you both ❤
This was so encouraging. It is good to hear that you can take baby steps in your financial journey and getting a financial planner would be the best option for me. Thank you once again x
As a single parent we must write our vision. I bought/ financed 3 homes as a single parent with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and much sacrifices. No movies out, Barnes and Nobles instead. Or have the kids put on a home talent show with friends. These are real examples of what we did. And note, just because the child or children are young and do not work they can work to earn nearly everything at home.... “teach the child while they are young and when they are old it will not depart” No one NO one married or single parenting can truly provide and raise up great productive citizens without a strong Faith in Jehovah (God Our Most High Creator). The devil is a lair and raises up liars in false clothing. We must pray for discernment to guard our children from the wicked which includes some teachers and clergy. No profession is a safe zone
This was a great episode. Thank you Chaka for sharing valuable and practical information and tips. Lots of single moms really need to key into their network for help because it's just not possible or healthy to do everything by yourself.
I love that Chaka is educated, degreed up, and has a wonderful well paying career! That helps big time. The better paying career with full benefits we have, the better life goes for the child.
I am a single mom. I have a 7 year old. I work full time while he goes to school. I will love to organize the house while he is sleeping but I am too tired! 😴I just go to bed when he does!
This was a great episode and I loved the ways that Chaka is teaching her son about money and investing. Chaka is one of my favorite guests ❤ she's so real and funny.
Thank you for this interview. Chaka comments mirror the things I hope and want for my daughter especially as a single mom (recent). I feel like I am starting over and all the issues on investing and planning for her future are beyond super important to me. Additionally, thank you for this channel, it is gives me hope to dream and plan and achieve.

Its fucked up that there are so many people who do have a partner who do damn near nothing. Might as well already be single at that point.
