    I love how funny this conversation was! Really brought a lot of lightness to a topic that can feel intimidating or taboo to talk about. I love hearing real women share their real life experiences

    Love the idea that her husband is her accountability partner also! My partner will check in with me because he a tendency to splurge on cars and watches. I don't outright say no, because it's his money, but talking it through helps him refocus and decide if he actually needs/wants what he is buying.

    I like the idea of having joint accounts but each have one separate account for personal spending. And together budget a certain amount per pay period that will be automated to each account.

    The greatest empowerment every woman should have is being empowered financially and mentally. This way you will be at the top of your food chain. Being finally free is one thing every woman should be looking after. I wasn't financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn on a monthly basis via my investment and got 5 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing in the financial market is a grand choice I made. Great video! Thanks for sharing!
    Very inspiring! I love this.

      I went through alot of financial crises during my divorce. I had to raise my kids up all alone with no help from anyone. Currently I am living smart and frugal with my money. Bought my second house already. Saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for me.., Till now I earn monthly through passive income. I am planning on retiring when my kids are done with college.

      I recommend the services of Alexandra Diana Jose, a US based financial advisor and consultant. She works with an international organization ,she has been very good to my financial journey as she is providing full & continues support till my financial goals has achieved.Finding a right financial consultant is as important as finding a right life partner, as they both play a make or break circumstances in your life. I am very happy that i have the right financial consultant, it has helped me in achieving my financial goals from education to nearly retirement. .

    Love these conversations! Inspiring me to talk to my girlfriends and kids about finances.
    I will definitely be making sure my daughter is financially literate and understands the potential vulnerabilities of joint finances. As someone who had to stay in a bad marriage for far too long because my ex husband controlled all my money, it cannot be overstated how important it is to have your own account that your wages go into.

    Good morning, i have a quick question. Due to the care act suspending student loan payments and interests, i decided to still keep making my student payment do that that the payments goes to the principal and reduces my student loan balance greatly for six months. Is this advisable? Besides i already have an emergency account set up with funds in it. Thank you

    • @Clevergirlfinance
      @Clevergirlfinance  4 года назад +4

      Great question - as long as you have a cash buffer than you can make payments. I would however suggest expanding your emergency fund since there's a lot of economic uncertainity.

      Clever Girl Finance Thank you for your response. I was planning to make 5 payments and put the remaining 1 payment in my emergency account. I appreciate your response

    Yes! The 'our money' mindset of women is purely natural. I personally will only be the breadwinner when single(meaning dating absolutely no man). But to the woman that wants to get married and sees nothing wrong with being the breadwinner whilst there's a fully abled body man in the picture, kudos to her. My money is indeed my money. Great honest video!

    • @LolaBugzy85
      @LolaBugzy85 4 года назад +2

      Being a breadwinner is so stressful dnt allow yourself to go through that. As a woman you are constantly wondering how to keep the both of you afloat since the man is earning less or for others he has no job. It's such a terrible feeling that can easily lead to resentment.

      i understand not wanting to be the breadwinner
      do u expect them to be the breadwinner or u want each to take care of their finances??
