Hey Ben, Thanks for getting down and dirty for your viewers. Eye level is where you can get some great shots. What a gorgeous day to share, and thanks for taking us along.
Glad you enjoyed it Thomas, thanks very much for watching :) I do try and get to eye level as often as possible, the mud can always be washed off haha. All the best, Ben.
Really enjoyed this Ben. The way you captured the light on the chicks was really hard. Getting that exposure just right so they were front and backlit. You can tell you really enjoy making these and sharing the finished product. Really cool technically. Wish I was on that level but I'll keep blatting away. Thank you for uploading Ben.
Hi Adam, i'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for your nice comments I also have manyy terrible images that I have chosen not to share haha and I am sure you could get just as good of photos if not better. Thank you very much for watching, All the best, Ben.
Ich komme oft mit schmutziger Kleidung nach Hause. Danke fürs Zuschauen, es ist großartig, jemanden aus Deutschland zu haben. Alles Gute, Ben. p.s I used google translate so I hope that makes sence.
@@BenFitzcosta I understand it. I also have to use google to translate. 😊At the moment I'm only taking pictures and not videos, I also wish you all the best.👍
Hi Will thanks for watching bud. You should definetly give it a go, I look foward to photographing ducklings (or any baby animal) every spring. All the best, Ben.
Lovely to see all those water birds in the sunshine 😊🌞 can I ask - you filmed most of the video with a Google pixel 2? The quality is amazing! Did you have an external mic/tripod etc? Still muddling through with holding my phone at arm's length 😂
My thoughts exactly :) and no, although I filmed a lot of my old videos using the google pixel 2 but I have now upgraded to the GoPro Hero 8 with no external mic or anything. It is great for what I do because it's so small and lightweight, meaning I can take it anywhere. Also thank you for watching and commnenting :) All the best, Ben.
Ben nice try. Here in the states our lockdown allows us to go out in open areas just not in really public areas where people hang out. Nice video and effort under the conditions.
yeah that sounds simular to the rules we have here in the UK although we are now allowed out alot more than we were last week. Luckily for me noone goes around to the back of this lake because its boggy and people dont like to get all muddy. Thanks again for watching. All the best, Ben.
I reckon you were about 2 miles east of where my sister lives. She's at Heath End. As far as getting muddy is concerned: small price to pay if you get good photos / footage, but I sometimes take a black bin bag or two with me if I know I'm going to be sitting / kneeling / laying somewhere damp or muddy. Afterwards you need to remember to fold them once messy-side-in before rolling them up and putting them in your bag. Nice Wren & Blackcap song over your talky bit at the end! 👍😎👍 Some nice through-the-reeds shots in there, and I reckon your swan was one of last years cygnets judging from the greyness of its plumage / beak. Keep up the good content mate! 👍
I reckon you're right haha. Good idea with the black bin bag, cheap and effective I can imagine. I still can't identify wren or black cap! Maybe you should make a video on identifying bird song ;) that would be really useful. Thanks very much for watching, all the best, Ben.
What’s that black plate thing you got your lens handle ? If that makes sense because I need to buy one as it will good to protect as mines getting a lot of wear taking on off tripods,
Hi Ben, the black plate thing is a just the tripod plate to attach to my tripod. It came with my tripod but you should get something simular with most tripods. All the best, Ben.
Ben Fitzcosta thank you could you recommend me any tripods ? I use 5D iv with 100-400 , and looking to get 500f4 . Just wondering if you could point me at some which would be suitable for both lenses? Thanks Ben .
You need to take a yoga mat or something like that you can roll up and lie on next time! I enjoy your videos, they make me think why don't I do something like that?
Hi Malcolm, that is a great idea, although I already have too much gear to carry haha. I might try and fit it in/on my bag somewhere as it would really help. Also, I am glad to hear you enjoy my videos, I often wonder if they are any good aha. Hopefully it can help inspire you to get out there. All the best, Ben.

Awesome, thank you! Pleasure to have a viewer from Switzerland :) All the best, Ben.
Excellent video man! Ducks & ducklings are so cute. I’m an animal services officer and I have seen my share of ducklings this spring 🐣
That sounds like an awesome job! You are very lucky to see lots of ducklings this spring :) Thanks for watching.
Nice stuff Ben, always nice getting some fresh air and making some images

@@BenFitzcosta - funny you should say that, I've got one in the pipeline even as I type this. Currently in the middle of post-production! 👍😎👍

Ben Fitzcosta I’m be prepared to spend couple hundred
What camera bag do you use?
I use a national geographic camera bag... just the right size although I may need to get a bigger one soon. All the best, Ben.
