Never understood why people find this fella so grody, even from the visual perspective.
Dude was introduced in the 3D era, its fit and swole with a rugged beard, it just wears a shell. People act like its a ball with legs, but it has Big Dwarfy Energy!
It's the colouring that left us disappointed. Too much beige outta nowhere. Chespin had that satisfying green dark brown colouring going on, and it was completely lost on the final evolution.

That first battle was so satisfying. The Custap Berry, the Tera Water, the weakened Earthquake, the Overgrow...outplayed them at every turn.
I wouldn't say he "outplayed them" with overgrow, he just happened to be in range.

I really wish they'd raise the range of Overgrow, Blaze, Torrent, and Swarm to 50% HP. People might use it more then.
I think that would be great from a mechanic standpoint. Once your health bar turns yellow you know you have the boost instead of trying to guess when it starts.

I think there needs to be a notification to show that a pokemon is in range of the ability, so both players can play around it.
@@bigfudge2031 Agreed. It’s dumb for both players to have to effectively measure the Pokemon’s remaining HP… just cut the extra work here, for both players.

Its important to note, belly drum does't give you a +6 to your stats. It SETS your attack to +6. Meaning even if you've been debuffed by something like intimidate you still are at +6
stealth rock for the finishing blow feels so good. That rock ice lead did a lot of work.

Chesnaught's genuinely up there as one of my favorite grass starters
Outside of Venusaur, there's not many other generally viable defensive grass types :)

I quite enjoy iron defense/body press chesnaught myself, so as well as being a physical wall, he hits really freakin hard too, just add in some recover and your golden against all physical hitters (barring type advantage ofc, beware flying types)
I want to see more shiftry, cacturne, or ludicolo, maybe even a pelipper and poliwrath. Good videos like always

try out honchkrow swager+mirror herb +moxie, i love sweeping with it .
use tera electric to deal with corvik and dondozo, and sucker punch for priority , and acrobatics for a strong stab x2 dmg after using the herb
he easily gets to +6at by the end of the match

You should try making a team around Armorouge. I’d love to see what you’d do to make it a menace.
An interesting alternative to Rillaboom, who is well known for the Grassy Glide + Grassy Surge tactic. While it has higher Attack, Speed, and HP than Chesnaught, it doesn't have Belly Drum (it doesn't drum its belly since it has, you know, an actual drum)
Rillaboom gets Swords Dance though. For some reason.
I feel like you could make something out of a Harvest Trevenant with Curse and Fighting tera, making it versatile to use as a ghost type or a fighting type. If you have it on a sun team the harvest will give you back whatever berry you choose to run 100% of the time :P

I tried this tactic out on Pokemon Showdown. The first time was actually pretty funny cause my opponent apparently also watched the video and had the same idea. We both led off with Arboliva. After the terrian got set up, he switched to Chestnaught to avoid my Leech Seed (I missed clicked). However, I saw what he was trying to do and luckily, I came prepared. My Arboliva used Alluring Voice after his Chestnaught used Belly Drum and that knocked him out instantly. After some time of him trying to recover, he gave up.

arboliva with harvest starf berry and substitute is fun af! you can keep subbing to eat more berries and giga drain/strength sap for recovery. tera blast and weather ball if youre under the sun for more coverage... its like gambling on some insane starf luck and playing with sub to get you to low hp to cook more ;)

Honestly Rilaboom over shadows so many grass type pokemon you forget there are other pokemon with grassy glide. They just need a little more help setting up the terrain is all
