Devils fan here since they moved to NJ in '82. I can't say that I ever truly hated the Green/Red jerseys. They kind of grew on me over time even though people used to joke that they were Christmas colors. Unlikely that they would ever go back to them since they will always be associated with the "Mickey Mouse" era of team where they had no success. Absolutely agree that the Reebok era jerseys were pure perfection and their best look to date.
I think the Jersey Jersey looks a lot better on the ice with the full uniform, than it does as a standalone. The lettering is kinda goofy but the marketing behind the jersey with the "hat" hat and "win" flag is pretty cool for the fanbase IMO. If they ever went with a white reverse look for that type of jersey, I think that could work too.
And if your fan you need a hat that really compliments it. I managed to get a New Era exclusive black hat with a white devils logo at the stadium that also says "Jersey" on the size. I wished I bought another cause they were limited for some reason.
As a lifelong Devils fan, I would love nothing more than for them to go back to the red and green. I'm always kicking myself that I never picked up their first Reverse Retro jersey.
The Devils Heritage jersey that they brought back last season in Adidas Primegreen brought it from SportsK this year looks so good in person that jersey is way better than the Jersey Jersey

The style of the jerseys from 1992 (when they switched from green to black) was the best until Adidas ruined them. Now the jerseys just look like pyjama's. The lack of striping on the lower section just makes it look awful. I also really miss the white jerseys being the home jersey. It gets boring every home game seeing the Devils in Red and their opponent always in a white jersey.

I think you can appreciate the jersey jersey more if you have one with a player because the numbers really look nice. On the shoulders and back they have a black outline with nice red 3d shadow lines. That said I do agree they could have done something way better on black. For example just the NJ portion of the logo without the white circle, on a black jersey with red shoulders like their reebok would look pretty sick.

I honestly hope they go back to either the Reebok striping you pointing out that you like so much, or the vintage throwback striping full time when they make the switch to Fanatics. THG, I've got an extra authentic Reebok 6100 they used in the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons, size 46 if you're interested in it. It's literally the same as the baggy CCM's prior, just with a Reebok logo on the neck (care instructions inside the jersey still have CCM on the tag 😅)

Rangers fan Devils have great jerseys due to the logo. I would also assume the devil horns touching creating a triangle is to reflect tri state area. I dont like the red/green

I have a red Reebok version that is signed by Martin Brodeur and couldn't put my finger on why I liked it more than the current one... The striping! The middle of the arm has much more black on Reebok. Would love to see what the Jersey jersey would look like with the logo instead one day

As a Devils fan, I don't really miss the removal of the waist stripe on the Adidas template but the sleeve stripes are still too wide for my liking. I'm going to miss the U-shaped collar when Fanatics takes over. I love the white retro more so than the green one and do not want the team to go back to Christmas colors on a full-time basis, the scheme they've had for the past 30 years is perfect. The Reverse Retro 2.0 looks sharp and they could use a better black alternate. I'm eagerly anticipating what they come up with for the Stadium Series game next season.
The Devils Reverse Retro is not connected to the Scouts. It might have the colors, but the Devils mention the Rockies and Denver too much to call it a Scouts throwback

I totally agree man that Jersey Jersey is so ugly never liked it when they revealed it and sucks it was designed by one of the greatest goaltenders of all time of Martin Brodeur and I do agree with u they should of put the Devils logo on the front instead of the Jersey wordmark

Devils fan here...I would support a change back to the red and green. It just looks nice. The red and black looks nice, but I do agree, the striping of the reebok was much better. It clashes with other teams colors...and when they are playing a team that has black and white jerseys, I often find myself cheering for the wrong team. lol Absolutely hideous. The reverse retro is a little better, but I am not really a fan of it either. They should just stick with the red and green for the alternate jerseys. It looks better.

The Fanatics version will somehow have changed the ‘J’ in the logo to a ‘Y’.
