This is a perfect song for cross. The entire song is about resentment for his home Xtale, but keeps mentioning how he wants to come back or how he doesn’t stop thinking about it. He caused so much damage to other AUs so he could bring back Xtale and still failed. Hes just lost, doesn’t know where to go anymore. And its not like he has options, you can’t just simply move into an AU/AT. Calling it that Cross either ends up back in Xtale or joins ink/error in their job, maybe being a middle ground to the creation and destruction? He’s pretty familiar with both of those things. I could be wrong. Still 10/10 song
Edit: By cross being middleground i mean a rayquaza groudon kyogre thing
He could probably also just chill in the Omega Timeline, but I don't really see that as his ending.

Dude I don't usually comment, but this song is probably the only one I can totally relate to ! I won't go into details but as someone that experience something called limerence, which is basically love on drugs that won't go away no matter what, I was shocked that I can relate for many things, including:
-The regret that I have
-The longing for her to not disappear
-The fact that my feelings hurt her
-Not being able to learn how to live without her, she basically means my whole life despite her hating me
-And obviously I can't stop thinking of her
This song is not really meant for Cross in my opinion, only the first part at least, so I'm curious to see what this is all about !

A lot of pple don’t know this, but Nightmare sans does have a role in this song, bcuz as this song represents crosses fears n insecurities (which is the lost of his home world), nightmare is all of those things , as he promised he will haunt Cross forever
Edit: I think cross might face Nightmare again while this song plays and cross will no longer be afraid of him because he has let go of his deepest fears

I feel that the "we can't escape this apocalypse" line is referring to how most of the xtale cast has been turned into puppets and how XGaster has been slowly destroying the Undertale fake pacifist timeline

El nombre de la canción y el fondo que se utiliza me da a entender que ocurrirá una confrontación final entre Cross, probablemente Dream y Nightmare.
