- Linkin Park's debut album Hybrid Theory dropped in October 2000. Since then it has received the honor of being the best selling rock album of the 21st century (so far).
There are three primary reasons for this: art, personnel and content. Each factor was crucial to bringing a new generation into heavy music and to citing Linkin Park as their favorite band. I know I did. They were just that groundbreaking.

This was the first album I went out of my way to get in my life.
Not only did they introduce me to heavy rock and metal, but rap, hip hop and basically music in general. It will always be special to me.
Hybrid theory was literally the coolest thing on earth at that time.

Linkin park in a nutshell
The old lp logos are amazing, especially the japonese one, but the 2007 forward is shameful.
Crawling is the worst song on the album, the two demos callef Blue and Under Attack, are much better and genuine.
Xero aways will be better than Linkin Park, Mike nails the rapping there.
Linkin Park is pushed to a pop rock more than the rap rock that Xero used to be, most of the Mike rapping are reduced or removed in their released songs (The Untitled, Rhinestone, Esaul, Stick N Move), the lyrics are darker, the bass mixing is better and Mark Wakefild have a depper voice than Chester.
Hybrid Theory EP is also better than Hybrid Theory.
Linkin Park is the worst example of how a label can arruinate a band.
