let's be honest: "Papercut" is the best kickstart for a day
Yep, next to "Don't Stay" and "Keys To The Kingdom"
By myself would’ve been harder
Get your editor to pay more attention to volume levels between the dialogue and musical breaks. Apart from that, this was an absolute treat to listen to.
Agreed! The dialogue is so low that i thought my earphones were broken. Then it exploded in the instrumental breaks
Thats why plugins 🔌
It's so cute how you can hear Joe's kids playing in the background. I wonder if they know their dad is a legend.
Can we pleeeease get a proper Hybrid Theory documentary? Tracing the band's origins, the early years as Xero and Hybrid Theory, through the making of Hybrid Theory and everything that happened? 🥺🙏💖💖
There is a few good ones by fans on youtube. Just search linkin park documentary.
I'm dreaming of this
Mike said in a interview that they don't have any footage of those sessions unfortunately. After that success Meteora and the latests were planned on purpose.
It would be massive content for fans.
I actually loved Chester’s plaid pants! I use to wear plaid pants back in the day
Loved the plaid too !!!!
@@junoo7761 still have mine, just can’t fit into them anymore lol
Linkin Park forever ❤️
One Step Closer was the first riff that I learned on the guitar over 15 years ago. ❤
Hybrid Theory ❤️ i love you Linkin Park!
Wish cb could talk about this.
One of the catchiest albums in nu-metal history, thank you LP!
LP forever ❤️.
Thanks and I love my box set!
Wait, so "why i played myself" isnt just a colloquial phrase but actually a part of hip-hop vernacular? Thats news to me and personally i think its a great line that really punches the meaning in.
Also, Brad forgot HT came out in 2000 not 01 🤣
That's funny, when I first heard the demo I could immediately pick out "Fear is Powerful". I love that line too, I really do.
This was nice, I’ve been an LP fan from the beginning, but I just really wanted to see/hear from Chester. His silly personality, yet seriousness and passion he had for the band was such a pleasure to watch in interviews.
So sad see to them all excepting Chester, RIP brother 😘😭🤟
One of the best albums of all time. Great to hear their thoughts on the record
Runaway was the first song i learned when i was 15 years old. 🤘🤘❤. Thank you Linkin park!
Thank for the interview!! It’s all a bit bittersweet tho
I grew up in a pretty strict house, but somewhere around 2001 my brother started watching MTV which I thought was evil or whatever 😂, but the first time I saw the In The End video I loved it so much and it was the gateway for me to break away from that upbringing and start to embrace more and more incredible music that I was missing out on.
The piano riff is just so classic and instantly sets a tone.
Nice backstory to one of the greatest albums of all time
Looove these insights!!! LP LOVE 🤘
Not gonna mention anything about how Cure For The Itch leads into High Voltage? aight.
Those were on the deluxe version, unfortunately
@@cybergproductions589 yeah i know. Just thought that they maybe would speak on it still.
Super special
32:46 Well if Mike gonna make such a black deal about "Why I played myself this way", I'm just gonna say that I'm honored that Chester respected hip hop so much that he felt it and wanted to talk like us. The love is real and forever.
As far as what Nu Metal is supposed to be defined as, LP are basically the kings of that. Slipknot's self titled was another champion, but to a much heavier degree. Although LB and Korn are credited as pioneers of the genre, those bands destroy them in comparison .
Linkin park will always be the best at forming boom bap hip hop with metal. No other band did it the way they did
its sad when i was looking through for the part with chester... to then realise its impossible for chester to be in this video
"That's a very weird choice" 🤣🤣🤣
Why am I watching this only today? RUclips's recommendation algorithm fucking sucks!
👌
Papercut(nice boy who always been hurted)
Where were Rob and Phoenix during this..?🤔
It’s hard to find Rob in any interviews lately. Dave is more visible, maybe because he wasn’t involved in the recording process due to his other commitments? 🤔
23:10 Esaul
Maybe we are the first Spiritist band of Pop-Metal Rock....
Check out our sound and lyrics.
But don't pay much attention to the rustic English, hahahaha 😁
are you going to cover a linkin park song
I wonder what is the actual Esaul guy up to today? Is he aware of his name being mispronounced for years by the Linkin Park fanbase? 😀
@1:50 It's not true. It's not both of you rapping in the chorus, it's only Chester. They didn't put his vocals way up in the mix, because it's only Chester. Mike Shinoda didn't take part of Papercut and One Step Closer's choruses on the records. Those are facts. I don't know why he is lying here.
I didn't realize you were in the recording and mixing studio at the time.
@@ryanwardlaw5345 Do your research. You can find the original acapellas somewhere on RUclips. One Step Closer is all Chester's vocals with different pitch.
The fact that you accuse him of lying is pathetic. You could have just said that Mike was wrong (he wasn't btw) but you chose to humiliate yourself by accusing him of lying. There's no original or official acappella version of One step closer. So when Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park talks about recording ad mixing One Step Closer by Linkin Park I trust him over some random dude on youtube comments
Listen to it again, you can hear Mike throughout that chorus, just more high pitched than his normal rapping voice at the time. Honestly thought it was just Mike, only started hearing Chester later on
Brave search engine for āď fŕèę😎
