Nice weather, nice video !!!
Thanks Myles! I’m a sucker for sunshine.
Great video Todd! Nice seeing LSRC train going from Pinconning to Tawas. Great video quality too! Thanks for chasing and posting!
You’re very welcome. Stay tuned, I have another Tawas chase coming on the 9th with several new shots including the Rifle River, East Branch Au Gres River, and Tawas River.
@@toddfeldpausch9489 I look forward to your next one. I was through the area this past week and saw the new welded rail in Omer and some new ties stacked in Twining. Nice to see LSRC upgrading the route! Thanks again!
Nice video, it’s good to see even more welded rail going in on this sub.
Thank you Jon. Hopefully it won’t be too terribly long before they’re running SD’s up to Alpena.
Btw, just discovered they upgraded most of the track north of the Kawkawlin River to Pinconning. Was mostly 10mph last year. Now it’s 25.
@@toddfeldpausch9489 Good to know hoping to do that chase in the near future so thank you for the info
LSRC Blue And Silver Paint 🎨 Scheme is my Favorite LSRC Paint Scheme But I like the Ex NS Paint with Lake States Railway on the side in White on the Ex NS Locomotives

National City••••• ok? Anyway I wonder why Construction taken so long ago they can put SD40 or SD70M in Huran Subdivision as mine Saginaw Subdivision
Track on the Huron Subdivision is Rated at 10 MPH because of the age of the Railroad track aka Jointed Rail... good luck with ever seeing a SD40 or SD60M on the Huron Subdivision
@@GRE2057 I don't remember a SD60M all I remember is SD50 SD40 & SD70M & I mostly go to Railroad twice a week.
Upgrading that much mainline takes time, especially if you’re not a Class 1. They’ve actually got welded rail in place south of Alpena for a good chunk and same south of Tawas. I’d guess 4-6 times the amount of welded rail on the Huron Sun than the Mackinaw Sub. The plan is to have SD’s running those limestone trains from Alpena.
Todd, it's a wonderful video as always. The progress on the old, rickety D& M is really evident. In days gone by, weeds used to obscure the rails. Not anymore. Great stuff.
