I live here and it's Yeti but they say Ryan is having trouble with the cooler company. It takes a year or more usually to brand a name. Their trying to do this real fast.
I was born and raised in Utah, and still live here. Personally, I hate the Yeti name. There aren’t multiple Yeti’s out there, so it wouldn’t be plural as a team name, and that’s weird. Blizzard is even worse though. Us Utahns are proud of our state, so a lot of us like the Utah Hockey Club. If the rest of the league doesn’t like it, then I could care less. It does sound a little soccer-like, but the players like it, so that’s something
@@notrednorblue At the end of the day, the opinions of the fans/potential fans are most important. What you think here is valid. That being said, I hope the proud Utahns who want a nickname win out--doesn't have to be Yeti. I hope your thriving with your new, local, hockey club!
Like how they are saying thorton was so serious but then when keefe tried getting on the leafs thorton told him to calm down because they were in first place lol
Without watching this, I have a feeling (and I could be hella wrong) that they never went with the Utah Yeti because someone had already came up with that name, website, trademark etc etc and didn't want to pay the owner of said websites and trademarks. I know the NHL has an almost endless paycheque to give out, but that's just my 2 cents.
If the artists formerly known as the Coyotes keep the name "Utah HC," I intend to refer to them as the Hiccups. (And should they decide to call themselves the Yeti, I will call them the Thermos.) ;)
How does a changeover in head coach regarding practice times, change due to the union agreements with regards to volume of practice?? or does it have to wait ??
The Utah coach encouraging penalties..sort of mindless..you can be physical and have that kid big aggressive presence without having to manage lost shifts due to excess penalties.
Naming the team Utah HC is not unique it shows a lack of imagination. Stop trying to mix or compare sports their differences are what make them unique. Soccer can get away with boring names because its a boring sport lets keep it that way.
nicknames are something you get given, only losers give themselves one. UHC would be great, the fans will give them a nickname over time. it's not especially european, look at the NY yacht club.
Re-uploaded and the word that Kyle used at 1:00:26 is still there. "... he may have gotten **** a plus..." I know it's unintentional but probably don't want that out there.
Ironic considering the earlier reference to Rogers'/Sportsnet's "standards and compliance" regulations. Very weird that at least 3 people thought it was ok to include this word.
@@HanSwanson Sorry, I wasn't clear - I was suggesting that he would have grown up in a world where that word was already well on its way out. He's young enough to know better. So yeah, very odd choice.
It's ridiculous. This ain't football. This is hockey. They need to come up with a name.
I totally agree

So we’re finally gonna get rid of the word soccer⁉️🤷♂️
Yeah Uta needs a team Name. Getter Done!
Utah HC is boring. Utah Yeti HC would be better.
C'mon, it's hockey. Let's have fun

I agree with you, Utah Hockey Club is boring and shows a lack of imagination.
I've just been calling them the Utah No-Names, I'm not changing until they get a proper name.

Keifer Sherwood, what a pick up. Hits, shots, goals, gotta luv this guy!!

Player that starts with Q - Pat Quinn. U - Gary Unger
Totally thought title was saying should Utah keep Head Coach lol
They can't be the only team in the league without a name.

I don't think I've heard this word non-ironically in a solid 20 years. Kyle's 31. Bizarre.
@@quercusquercus532 I know he is unaware that the word is actually a slur but still an odd choice by someone who speaks professionally, right?

@@quercusquercus532 Oh, I agree I've heard that used maybe a handful of times in the last 20 years.
How about the Utah Stormin Mormons?
