We would like to thank each and everyone of you who have purchased a mirror from us. All colors have sold out, and are on special order. We still have a small handful of black in stock, but they will be gone by the end of the day. We expect our next order in by the end of next week, and we will be shipping all the special orders out first. If you have made a special order with us on any of the colored mirrors, you should have received an email on an estimated time of arrival. All orders for the black mirrors, you should have already received your tracking numbers. We kindly ask for patience as we are producing the mirrors as fast as we can. Thank you again from the entire Lake Hickory Scuba family.
Great idea guys. I believe this mirror has potential in all aspects of diving. I do a lot of search and recovery work, and can see where it would be a great help in staying on course by using reference marks. I can look behind and make sure I'm still in line with my markers.
Glad you liked the video @gee4526. That is a great use of the mirror as well, using it to keep track of your location in a search area. Thanks for sharing.
Hello @valise1794, we too have been using cheaper mirrors for many years. Although they all worked, they all seemed to lack something. We hope others will like these mirrors and find them as useful as we have.
3:46 Yes I purchased a Nammu-Tech Convex Hand Mirror this last summer and tested it as it was a relatively low cost item. Used it once and it quickly got lost in my pile of SCUBA gear with no desire to fish it back to the surface. As you stated the Nammu is a small mirror. I will say Nammu even offered an even strong carbon fiber version but for such a device I'm not so sure it is really necessary as it takes a very small amount of load as a device bungie strapped to your arm with no real working components getting nearly no torque or real loading. I also think the use of a mirror while diving better lends itself to dive instructor trying to keep an eye on new divers potentially. As with most things select carefully based on your application and needs. Nice improvements 👌🤙
Thanks @SeattleRingHunter, our pro's have really enjoyed the mirror when diving with students. It is catered more towards the pros, but has great applications for teams as well. We have already started implementing improvements based on other divers suggestions. It's definitely one of those items that is not needed on every single dive, but the are nice to have when you need one.
Glad you liked the video @theshepardboy. We have currently sold out of all the colored models and only have a few black ones left in stock. We have several more cases coming in, which we should have by the end of next week. So hopefully our stock count will go up on our website very soon.
Hello @CritterHunter, send me an email and I can hook you up with one. bryan@lakehickoryscuba.com. We have sold out of all colors and are down to just a few black ones left. We are in the process of producing several more cases of them. Turn around time is about two weeks for special order (colors), but I still have just a few black left in stock. I can hold you one back if you are interested. Also, I responded to your invite through email, sorry it took me so long. I have been traveling the last few months. Our trips are completely booked for 2024, but would love to schedule something in 2025.
Hi, can you make a video on ultrasonic cleaning of gear ? How to use it ? What temperature? What cleaner do you use? How much time in ultrasonic cleaner? ... There is only one video on that its from Alec Peirce. Thank you
Hello @scubacro5758, I would be happy to make a video on using an ultrasonic cleaner for scuba gear, specifically regulator parts. Just as a heads up, we produce videos 2 to 3 months in advanced, so it may be a while before you see it. That being said, we are currently using a Central Machinery ultra sonic cleaner, and we also use Blue Gold industrial cleaner as our cleaning solution. As far as temperature, truthfully, we set it as hot as we can physically touch the items without getting burned. Ours has a temperature gauge and setting, but I usually set it to the hottest temperature. Once the items are done being cleaned, I remove them via the basket they are setting in, and I place it into a bin with plain water. This cools the items and rinses the cleaner from them as well. Hope this helps.
This is an absolutely awesome mirror, but price tag doesnt work for me at all, also does not have orange, forces me to buy the spare for extra 20$ when I want a colored version other than black. I feel sincerely that this is insanely expensive for 3d printer plastic, bungee, and a mirror. and added shipping of $20 to Virginia from Hickory NC? Who's buying a mirror for $94?!!?!?!
A cover would be nice for when it's in your kit bag. And shipping options outside the US, Canada, and the UK would be nice. Shipping abroad clearly isn't a problem, so why limit yourself to only the UK, and not include the rest of the world?
Hello @bloodymarvelous4790, thank you for the suggestions. We will let our shipping department know, and we will see what we can do to produce a cover for the mirrors.
Hello @user-zq7gt3lf7x, the red seems to be the most popular color. Please lets us know once you received the mirror and have used it, what your thoughts are. We are always looking to improve our products.
Frame too big , it might hamper the movements of the hand that you need free especially in technical diving. I would cut off 4 edges and then i would pass double bunge throu the screw hole with 2 knots that would substitute the screw.
Hello @keeferdog5617, just imagine what you will see tomorrow. Next thing you know they will be coming out with flashlights that work underwater, or who knows, they may even develop a camera that can take pictures and videos underwater too. LOL.

It's about time some came up with a high-quality mirror. I've been rocking the amazon special for 2 years now.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us @malakcoccode3882. We haven't had any issues with it thus far.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all…wtf

Not to mention sending Text Messages to your Dive Buddies! (Garmin, I'm looking at you 🤣)
