Quick BTS BieKino 2023 • BieKino Kinokabaret

A little insight into our BieKino Kinokabaret in 2023. Over 60 international guests came together in August 2023 on the site of the former Rochdale Barracks in Bielefeld to make short films in 48 hours at the Bielefeld Kinokabaret BieKino. It was a fantastic weekend with wonderful people.
What is a KinoKabaret?
A KinoKabaret is a place where film enthusiasts of every age and level of experience can meet, exchange ideas and bring them to life. Within 48 hours a script is created, shot and edited and finally the results are watched together on the big screen. This year the Bielefeld KinoKabaret BieKino will take place in the Kulturhaus Ostblock.
How does a KinoKabaret work?
After a short introduction, the participants present their short film ideas in a production meeting and form teams to bring them to life. But there is no time to hesitate, because time is running out: after only 48 hours everyone gathers in front of the big screen to watch what they have created together. Old and young, beginners and professionals, all are welcome and can contribute, try out, implement something.
Who can participate?
Everyone who enjoys filmmaking and cinema. Whether they are actors, technicians, writers or just interested in filmmaking - everybody is welcome.
