- After messing around with the punching bite the day before, I decided that I really wanted to dive off into in today. While it was a grind and I didn't get a ton of bites, it was well worth it!
So what do ya think? Worth the trip the G’ville or nah?
Looks like it was worth it. I have some old packs of those why nots. Im sure the endless grass mats were intimidating
@@joehadaway5018 they definitely were at first. I wish I would have had one more day there. I would have liked to see if I could find more places like that main spot.
Excellent video! So cool that you ran into Mikey as well. I was lucky enough to meet him on my home lake(wheeler). He still owes me a guntersville trip. 😅 Thanks for the tips!
He’s a good dude! Completely genuine and is the exact same person you see in his videos.
Great video Steve, I definitely want to make it to that place someday.
Let’s go this July!

Mikey is the OG 💪🏻 I gotta get back out there punching with him soon
Make sure you call him that too🤣😂🤣
Steve, good video. Excellent representation of what punching on Gville is like.
Thank you!
That’s cool you ran into Mikey Bawlz. I had to do a second take and then I recognized his voice 🎣
He’s a riot! I spent a little time with him over that weekend too.
Great video. I dont think you could have asked for a nicer day. Gotta love the sound of braid stretching through guides
That sound is what makes the whole day worth it!
I think that was a big ol Green Sunfish.
I thought so too!
We call them warmouth here in Florida, aggressive little fish, ive had them smash half ounce jackhammers!
That was the name I was thinking of! They sure are mean little suckers!
Was it Wheeler that gave you the waypoints??
Ha! I ain’t that important!
Could you tell me how deep was the area?
Honestly don’t remember off the top of my head but not more than 5 feet.
