@@TheSassy777 When I was small around 1955 I'd walk down the street to Mulberry (Florida) grocery store and after I saved up I would buy 2 Delaware Punch soda's. Drink one as fast as I could. Save the other one so I could put it in the freezer when I got home. Worked great till a friend came by and said the Bass were on the bed. Got home and it had blown up all over the freezer. Me maw was mad !! Ate standing up for a while but what good times. Love these old stores makes me think of those times.

My granddaughter and I were going to a friend of mines house that lives about 3-4 miles from your store. I asked her if she had ever been in an old store like this. She said no. We stopped in and walked around for about 30 minutes. We had a great time going back in time as we walked around. I was telling her this is a how it was years ago when I was young. Thanks for keeping the Good ole days alive in today’s times. It was a good papa and granddaughter day!

I grew up in a general store in northeast Mississippi. My grandfather opened it in about 1917, when he died in 1944, my father took it over and ran it until he retired in the early 70s. We lived next door to it and I spent most of my early life working there, pumping gas (in a visible, gravity feed, gas pump), coal oil (hand crank), and learning how to wait on customers. I treasure the memories of those days. I even still have some of the old signs from the store.

What a wonderful place to live n make a living!!!! You carrying on your family's tradition of the General Store is so iconic in this day n age!!! Gotta love the kids candy section n old Rick candy n moon pies n I sure do hpe you have RC Cola with those moon pies like in the old days!!! The sandwiches n the porch sitting n the unusual finds that general stores have is part of all the fun,!!! Way to go people!!!!

You made my day. I grew up in a little town in north Mississippi. Moved there from Maryland in the 8th grade in 1974. What a great store. Still there today. We had a charge account that was my favorite . I was told they ever didn't get paid one time. They were the butcher, baker, candlestick maker. First moon pie and Sundrop soda. Never heard one person ever steal, we protected our family, cause they were. What a blessing, like you. You gave me a chill. Bless you. Neal APOLLO BEACH FLORIDA SEMPER FI

Love this. Thank you for sharing your store history and memories. Love seeing them dance. Nothing better than seeing genuine people enjoy themselves. Passing down history and culture is so important.

This place is a North Carolina version of the store Tiffany runs and Jane reminds of her too. I need to visit here too .
