I had a neighbor or stop by the other day (new here) asking about my payments on my truck and how it was doing. I said, that’s a 2015 ford, first aluminum
Body, first they came out with. Im a widow and traded in my car for a 4wd trick. They have one of them electric little cars. I bought that truck with 22k miles on it, still from factory with warranty and paid cash.
I find it funny I have to explain myself to this day.
You gonna live in the mountains, you better have a 4wd truck. Especially if you a woman and alone.

That’s what I miss about my small town. Back in the day we had neighborhood grocery stores and could buy penny candy and some had their own butcher. Miss those days!

Man I could listen to that gentleman talk all day. I’m sure there was some repeats in the conversation, but that’s all part of life. You can tell that man gave his life to his community, family and the Lord. Along the way he made some money. You can just tell. People saying hi and remembering there name . That’s a special thing in are life. Wish I could remember everyone’s name. God just didn’t bless me with that . Other things he did . Thanks for the good videos like this . Makes me smile

The prices of what I saw were really cheap and reasonable. Id like five or six rolls of that white mule tape cordage. He is right on the strength of it. It has a unreal breaking strength. In the thousands pounds rating compared to hundreds of pounds. The prices of his case knives are cheaper than around here in South Carolina. Enjoy your videos!

It's about roughly 2 1/2 hours from my home and would make for a good day trip just to get away from home and go to the mountains and stop to get food gas and pop and some whatnot to go as well !!!

My goodness,you can get anything you need in this store ,thanks for sharing, I have enjoyed.I was born and raised in Jamestown, Tn. You have a great job. Keep it up. God bless. I saw a coal bucket ,my Dad was coal miner all his life. That’s all he ever did. A mines blew up on him in the 1930’s and broke his leg ,he walked with a limp the rest of his life. He died from black lung in 1975.

Been in a few of the, “Mom-n-Pop” stores in my life, a wonderful experience, a whole different atmosphere when you walk into one of these places over, a chain store.

I remember going to the local, A&P with my mom and watching the stockers, put the prices on can goods, “pop, pop, pop,” one can at a time in seconds, it was a talent. Then, at the check out counter, the cashier, hitting the price keys on a large cash register without even looking, and the “Green Stamps,” that they would give out.
I loved this vlog. ❤ Wish I could have been there. Good country folks who own a good ole country store. Personal attention and service. When u shop there they know you. A service long gone now in most cities. Barbara.

I lived up north in a small town in Washington State, it was a 45 min drive to the home Depot, there was a general store in town, been there forever, they had everything you could imagine..I lived there for 10 years, remodeled my house, worked on this and that..only one time in 10 yrs they didn't have what I needed, they were out of stock, so I waited till it came in, just out of respect....and their prices were great..loved that little store..

At 14:40 that's pulling tape also known as mule tape. It's used for pulling cabling through conduit. It's really useful for all sorts of things!

Beautiful people. Everybody around here in Michigan is from Appalachia or the Deep South… I’d LOVE to live down there and be able to make a good living… my heart is in that area. Man I miss the days of real people like this… makes ya almost feel like crying when you think of our current state of affairs.

I live in a small town and now I'd rather find myself shopping at these Mom and Pop stores then go 1 or 2 hrs out of my way to support Walmart or any other store that's running with the big names I'd just rather do this. When you can support your community it's so much better not only for you but for all the families.
Went to high school in Middlesboro, and we used to go there and Pappy's liquor store next door, it was a bit different before the big highway they put through. Good memories!
