I just recently rescued 14 goats & sheep with 2 emus. Had to leave the trailer in the field for a few days and feed them solely in the trailer. I think it was the 4th day they were all sleeping in the trailer early morning.
Funny enough I've always done the same thing withmy cats. I want them to be very easy to put in their kennels/crates so I've always left the kennels out. Some of my cats chose to sleep in them. And the 2 youngest of the bunch are fed in their kennels now. So mine all have good associations with their kennels and are very easy to get in. I can easily see where this could work for donkeys and emeus too.
Exactly, what I was going to suggest. I used to live trap feral/stray/dumped dogs in Detroit. I would leave food in the back and they would eventually go in. I would vet them, train them, and rehome them. Unfortunately, 3 yrs ago my family needed me to care for my mother in law and special needs brother in law so i had to put on hold any trapping. I still receive updates on the dogs, and even dog sit for one when the forever family vacations. Suggestion, put a trail came up to watch the activity at the trailer. You will learn their patterns. Happy Holidays and God Bless to all.
Jason and Brooke, you are the most wonderful people. Don’t give up on the donkey and emu. They are meant for you. They have found their way to you. They couldn’t have a better home than with you at Cogg Hill. You two are inspiring humans, thank you for everything you do for everyone.
Bless you, Brooke and Jason. You did everything you could to try and rescue those two animals. Maybe now that the word is out someone will come forward and be able to rescue them. Again, you did everything humanly possible to rescue them. Thank you ❤️
Why in the world did they let sooo many animals get killed off by predators before they decide to do something about it??..I hope they r rescued soon!!thank u Jason n Brooke for trying your best to help them..🩷🙏🩷
Here's the plan for the future -- for any new animals, just show them a few Cog Hill Farm videos on RUclips, and the animals will jump right into the trailer. Sorry you weren't able to capture them.
Awe, Poor animals! So sad that they were left out there alone. Donkey is scared of the trailer. I hope somebody can rescue and rehome them and give them all the love and care they need! I wish Lester and Jamie were closer to ya'll. They sure would help them. They're to far away! 🙏🙏❤❤
Jason I know the park and have pics of them…….oh you guy are wonderful…..those babies have been there for over 5 years. I saw them over 5 years ago for the first time. Thank you for trying.
So appreciate your kind hearts and dedication to caring for your animals. Maybe something will work out for these new rescues. Blessings to all working on a solution to give them a better life!
I am down near Troy, I just bought 15 acres so I could have donkeys, emus and chickens. The only problem is I don’t have a fence yet or you could count me in for giving them a great home.
You & Brooke gave it your best, as always. Maybe a Christmas Miracle will come and someone could rescue them. That donkey is the biggest I have ever seen, in all the farm channels I watch. God bless you both for your loving hearts. 💙🙏🏼🩷
Jason and brook u did great trying to get them in the trailer, hopefully someone close by there will be able to get them,or a vet to give them something to calm them to make it a bit easier ❤❤
Your hearts are so precious. I’m worried you guys will lose sleep over this. Some things are meant to be and maybe this wasn’t one of them. The song Bless the beast and the children kept running through my head while watching this. Bless Cog Hill family for being kind and compassionate. 💕
You really should think about getting distinction as a sanctuary. You could possibly get funding or ask for funds to care for a lot of these rescued animals. You all are just amazing.
Jacking up the front of the trailer makes the back lower to the ground for a less daunting entry. Lester taught me that ❤ A panel or two to make a shute could have helped. I really hope that someone close can help out, these animals deserve a good home ❤ Thank you all for your valiant efforts. ❤ God bless
I sure wish things had worked out better. I hope this works out for these animals in the long run. I know you did your best. Thank you for always trying to help ❤
You and Brooke gave it your all and that's all you can do. Hopefully someone reaches out to you so that these babies can be rehomed. Thank you for trying and I know this will probably weigh heavy on your minds until they are rescued.
I know it’s a very long drive, but please don’t give up on them. They need a loving home and family.! Thank you for everything. You do a very merry Christmas to you and your family and sending love and prayers as always.
Bless your hearts for being open to helping animals in need. The donkey and emu seem to have an interesting story makes you wonder what happened to others. Anyways god bless and thank you for everything you do for these animals.
Need the rangers to keep a trailer there with feed for them. May take many, many days to get them to be used to it and watch via cameras and sneak in and keep them in it. Thank you beyond words for trying to help them. GOD BLESS you all for trying to home them. May GOD send someone be able to rescue them and given them a great loving, caring home, in JESUS' MOST HIGH NAME!!!!
That is what i was thinking also they need to get used to the trailer and be comfortable in going in to get feed at the front of the trailer. We know you will not give up until you know these animals are in a good home.blessing to all involved.
What you need to do to get them into the trailer is, get to long heavy-duty rope and attach one end to the trailer. Then put the ropes along the ground then sit with the other end in your hands. Once the animals area close to the back end of the trailer pull the rope tight, and it will put them into the trailer. It's much safer to do it that way, then if they kick out,you won't be injured. I hope you have a great day my friend, and stay safe ❤️🙂⚘️🚜.
So sorry it wasn't in the cards for you to rescue those babies. I sure hope that's something works out for them I hope you keep us posted. Aw shucks, I know you will. ✨🥰✨
Such big hearts as always. If it’s meant to be for Cog Hill we will see them soon. If not we know that Cog Hill always happens as it should 🥰 maybe their perfect home is close. Either way I’m excited for them. They will be loved and protected one way or another - Now that the Cog Squad is on it. Thank you for the time and attempt and for spreading the word. Y’all be good ❤
Gotta love someone who does a good walk around inspection before heading out. All animals are babies, I call all dogs pup pups and so do my grandchildren. I passed my love of animals to my boys and now am doing my best to pass it to their children. Animals just make your life complete and they love you unconditionally. Hopefully those babies will find their forever home soon. Thanks Jason and Brooke for all you do. ❤
I wish the donkey and the emu knew what a great place to live Cog Hill was they would have run into the trailer. You guys did your best. You have a heart of gold . Thank you both and also the gentleman that feeds them. God bless you all.
Probably the reason these 2 have survived is they are quite wary. Yall have facilitated their rescue, i feel that strongly, this has created the energy that will coalesce.
At least you gave it your best shot❤ And now that you know about the situation you may be able to help find a home with how many you have on your channel! I will say a prayer for them both!! Thank you for trying! You both are Angels!
They need to set up a coral system and start feeding them in there and when they get used to it shut the gate when there in there. Then bring a trailer a load them up
I was cheering you on and saying come on donkey come donkey. If they only knew that they were going to a much better place where there will be a lot of love.
Thank you so much Jason brooke and marycarl for trying to catch those precious animals.....❤❤❤hopefully they find a new home.cogghill family will probably beable to help ya find someone down there to rescue them
Jason, Brooke and MaryCarl you are all amazing with huge hearts. Thank you for trying to help.these two sweet babies. I know you said they are full grown but they are still babies.
Oh wow. I had a feeling when you said they were in a state park that it was Guntersville. We used to frequent there when we lived in Huntsville. Everyone always stopped to feed them when going to the beach at the park. I know a great vet that would help you out in that area if you're interested! Those donkeys and emus have been there for years, before 2018.
I should pray somebody goes and picks the donkey and emu up. It’s too bad they can’t just stay there but I know it’s not the best for them. You guys are great for Tryon.
So nice of you to go try and rescue those poor babies. I am sorry you couldn't manage to catch them. Hope someone from the parks dept will go out there and feed them if that man can't do it anymore.

You and your family are the most kind hearted people. God willing the animals will get a good home. They just didn’t know Cog Hill is the best
I live in Huntsville and I have forwarded this clip to a friend that has connections to make a rescue happen.
Praying the rescue can happen! They surely need to be rescued sooner than later.
Bless you! Praying for a rescue soon!
Thank you for doing all that you could to save these precious souls. I’m sure they will get a good forever home soon.

Great job trying to get them into the trailer. So sweet of the gentleman for feeding them. Thanks!!!
They are sweethearts. Campers pull over to pet and feed them treats. Thank you for rescuing them❤❤❤❤

Do fence and shelters before you commit
What a kind offer Backroads.
You will get there sooner than later. Thank you for being a future animal rescuer 😊.
Hey Backroads. My daughter lives in Troy and I'm outside Montgomery. Youare so sweet to make your offer. ❤
@@erinnkemp Absolutely, I wouldn’t commit to anything until I get my ducks in a row.
You & Brooke gave it your best, as always. Maybe a Christmas Miracle will come and someone could rescue them. That donkey is the biggest I have ever seen, in all the farm channels I watch. God bless you both for your loving hearts. 💙🙏🏼🩷

Well you gave it your all. Thanks for trying so hard 🥰😘 The Donkey & Emu weren't having it ❤️❤️
Donkeys are way too smart and strong, plus that one didn't look hungry. You were smart to be careful.
Your hearts are so precious. I’m worried you guys will lose sleep over this. Some things are meant to be and maybe this wasn’t one of them. The song Bless the beast and the children kept running through my head while watching this. Bless Cog Hill family for being kind and compassionate. 💕
You gave it more effort than I ever would have. Thank you for trying
Glad that you guy's are helping out with the animals
Heres hoping you all have good luck gathering up those babies. We all know you will give them a good and caring home.
So glad you tried & hope they get rescued soon 💞
Goodness knows…you tried! 💖. Hopefully someone near there can help them 🙏
You did your best.👏 Thank you for getting involved to try and help these animals. ❤️🤗
You really should think about getting distinction as a sanctuary. You could possibly get funding or ask for funds to care for a lot of these rescued animals. You all are just amazing.
You did all you could so don’t feel bad. They have plenty of food and water and use the forest as shelter. Thanks for caring so much.
Bless their hearts out there in the woods-Thanks for all you did to try and rescue them-I pray somehow they will be rescued soon.
Jacking up the front of the trailer makes the back lower to the ground for a less daunting entry. Lester taught me that ❤

The one thing that's got me is the man that's been feeding these two animals. It would have been good if he could have been there
Bless your hearts for being open to helping animals in need. The donkey and emu seem to have an interesting story makes you wonder what happened to others. Anyways god bless and thank you for everything you do for these animals.

Just need some fences to corral them, no one is going get them without that 🙄

That was a lot of trying on the humans, for two animals that are just too wary. 💕💕💕Hugs all around for trying.
You will be able to register as a "Rescue Ranch" pretty soon!
You guys have the biggest hearts. Love you.😘
Your hearts are golden. Thank you Jason and Brooke for your rescue attempt. Also, thanks to the gentleman who periodically cares for them. ❤😊

@@dianapulido1807I doubt J and B would keep them
I would visit them years ago when I lived the Madison Co. I have pictures of them if you are interested in seeing older pictures
your barn is perfect. everybody should build a barn like this. inside outside corrals. also love the bus
Probably the reason these 2 have survived is they are quite wary. Yall have facilitated their rescue, i feel that strongly, this has created the energy that will coalesce.
You sure did give it your best shot - well done! 🐨👍
Thank you Jason and Brooke for trying to help these two animals. You gave it your best shot and nobody can ask for more than that. 🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
I think is so great that you and Brooke took the time out of your very busy schedule to try and capture these animals. Thank you so much.❤

I love you for trying, Jason and Brooke. When a person loves animals (as I do) the hardest lesson to learn is we can't save them all.
Noble effort Brooke and Jason!
The poor donkey looked so scared, it's a pity they don't know how nice their new home is
Wow, exciting
They need to set up a coral system and start feeding them in there and when they get used to it shut the gate when there in there. Then bring a trailer a load them up
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish nothing but the best for these two beautiful animals I hope they find a forever home very soon God bless y'all. ❤❤❤❤
Oh how I laughed when you showed Moo Man getting into the hauler. He squatted those tires and springs 😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was cheering you on and saying come on donkey come donkey. If they only knew that they were going to a much better place where there will be a lot of love.
