it would be cool if we could have NKP 765 , N&W 611 or UP 844 do a tour in Europe like the flying Scotsman but it is a shame it would never happen form the loading gage problem or the height clearance problem or the fact of it would cost to much and all the clement stuff they got over there lol

2 Weeks ago a former Prusian G12 (DB class 58) steamlocomotive got a high priotity freighttrain designation on the German network.
A heavy train full with new sleepers for an urgent rebuild of an important part of a mainline was pulled by this G12.
Electric locomotives couldn't pull this train because the overhead wires were out of commision and there were no powerfull diesellocomotives available to haul that high priotity freighttrain.
Luckily a G12 heavy freight steamengine from a heritage railway was in the region and they were asked to haul that very important train.
They even were allowed to enter Frankfurt Main station were the firebrigade awaited them for pumping water into the tender.
The G12 pulled this heavy priotity freightrain on time to the building site.
2 stokers were needed to power the locomotive
That old gall performed excelent, saved the day and that urgent rebuild of the main line was done on schedule.

The largest Norwegian Steam Locomotive is actually the NSB Class 49. Also known as the Dovre Giant. Its a 2-8-4 steam locomotive built from 1935 to 1941.
    Get your research right.

13:48 I don't think this locomotive is European, this looks like a American The Milwaukee Road 4-6-4 Class F6.

If you are a non English speaker and this is an AI voice I am sorry to say many of these are not steam engines. I would cut that out of the title.

Pity that many of the scenes have been reversed, obvious by numbers being back to front. Otherwise, very interesting, except for mismatched scenes and commentary.
