That cart strap is the coolest thing since the beverage cart girls' angry baby daddy rant manic breakdown on the 14th tee....guess you had to be there.
I used to be anal about my bag brand matching my equipment (which currently is a mix of TM, Titleist, and Cobra). But this PING DLX changed that, at least for a riding cart bag. I used to use the Titleist Mid-size tour bag, but it's been retired to hold clubs in my simulator room. I currently use a Cobra Ultralight Cart bag for my push cart, and the TM Flextech bag for walking. Interesting how you've decided to use the rangefinder pocket for balls, and the ball pocket for your rangefinder. Anyway, thanks for the review.
HI Zach. Great looking bag. Thanks for the detailed review. You mentioned that the front cover can come off for embroidery purpose. How does it come off? With a zipper?
I can't confirm as I haven't been in possession of this jumbo tennis racket grip (lmao!) but the putter well is of great size. I would imagine it would have no problem with the 5.0!

Hey Wayne! So I don't have much of an opinion on the Traverse since I only got a chance to review the DLX. I did look at it when at the store but honestly felt the DLX was worth the extra money. PING bags in general are fantastic though so if you were looking for a more cost effective option I'd say the Traverse is a good option
If you talking electric carts then mostly Yamaha and Club Car. If your speaking push carts, we both do not own one so we couldn't really help out. The bag should fit on most standard push carts though.
It looks bigger on camera than in person. I ordered one from Dicks and when I went to pick it up and they brought it out I thought it was the wrong bag it seemed so much smaller. Still a great bag, just think the colors and style make it seem like its going to be a tour bag
I definitely still have it! I love it honestly. If you ride every time it's a no brainer. If you're wanting to walk ever I would probably get a different bag like the PING Hoofer
@@OntheFringeGolf The fabric (Pleather) on the Ping is excellent, while the colors on the C130 are wonderful. The C130 is readily available, and the Ping bags have limited availability. Keep doing what you do. I love it.
Unfortunately I'm not sure. Tried to sneak in a 12 pack to the store to do a comparison but that was frowned upon 🤣🤣. I do know the DLX is larger though
I have the pioneer bag, love it. The cooler pocket is definitely smaller, but you can fit around 4-6 cans or 3 larger water bottles. I usually fill a large zip lock with some ice and pack 3 or 4 beers, works perfect and stays well cooled! Also lots of pockets. Definitely recommended.
Hey Dalton! So I was not able to test the size of the pioneer cooler pocket to the DLX pocket but they appear to be similar from what I've found in previous research. Hope that helps!
This will be my next bag. Moving up from a 3 yr old Ping Pioneer that i love after throwing away the stupidly designed plastic putter well insert. Question: Did you say the front lower pocket panel can be removed to be embroidered at a later date ?
Glad we could steer you in the right direction! Yes, the front panel has two zippers that can be disconnected allowing for you to get it embroidered without turning the whole bag in! Its pretty great!
As far as the putter well, are you referring to the divider at the top or the divider that runs all the way down the inside? The panel at the top is essentially rubber and I think the putter well might be my favorite part of this bag. Its super wide allowing for whatever putter grip you may be using!
Wow, instant reply - Kudos ! Yes, i meant the panel at the top. Rubber good, plastic bad :) The putter well has always been my favorite part of the Ping Pioneer and DLX. I put my large grip putter, a swing trainer (think orange) and a swizzle stick (club umbrella) all in there ! I couldnt tell you how many times i recommend these bags to people that complain about not being able to find a bag that will accept their giant putter grip ! Thanks a ton for replying :)

Honestly not sure what the answer to this is. It's the same material as all other rain covers I've ever had. I don't know what that material is though. Every search of the item description just tells me the rain cover is included but not what material it is made of. I do apologize for not having a great answer for you

Hey James! So I have not verified it as I don't currently have a push cart but I don't see how it wouldn't. It fits like any other bag on the back of a cart so it should fit fine on a push cart. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for ya!
Are the 2 waterproof pockets the top small accessory pockets on each side? It looked like only one of those had the waterproof lining and waterproof zipper

Yep! The zipper wraps all the way around and it slides right off!
I wanted to see the base and whether it has a slot for a trolley so the bag doesn't rock when pushed around. No one shows the bottom..
Yes it has a slot for a trollet so it does not rock around

I use a superstroke 5.0 putter grip which is their thickes grip, is the putter well plenty big ? Great review - love the bag !!

The Sun Mountain C130 has the strap that keeps the bag from twisting during the round. Does this bag twist around when strapped to a cart?
It doesn't tend to twist if you don't use the straps

Yep! They call it a putter well. There's an umbrella holder conveniently located on the side of the bag!
