I made fan lyrics for the beginning of the second verse lol Frye: HEEEEEY.. ya know what?? I wonder if you’ve been sneakin’ out to play with the SNORE sisters this whole time!! Big Man: Frye!! Shiver!! Please listen to my side of the story, it’s not what you think- Frye: SHADDUP!! Next time ya pull a stunt like this, you’re sleeping with the salmonids!! YA HEAR?! Shiver: OOOOH!! Look at me!! I’m Big Man!! I go behind my friend’s backs because I’m just TOOOOOO GOOD FOR THEM!! Big Man: Girls!! Please listen!! There’s a reason why I was with them in the first place-!! Shiver: IF I WERE YOU, I’D SHUT MY TRAP YA FILTHY BACKSTABBING LITTLE- *gets interrupted by the chorus or Now or Never*
It's pretty wholesome that they got the good ending after the Grand Festival though "You're the best singer and we want to keep you all to ourselves" Man I really thought they would never forgive him
I love how Splatoon follows musical logic, the characters will have an argument and then suddenly break out into song Also it is really funny how Nintendo only translated the argument and left the chorus ambiguous
If there’s ever a Splatoon Movie in the future, it should be a musical. Or if it became a TV series, some episodes would have songs. Not like, songs all over the place, every three seconds, but during a really important moment
Imagine my utter shock during the splatfest when I heard a *second verse* start up. That second bridge is amazing WHY didnt we get to hear it all in battles man uAAGHGHF&£^£
I know this was (thankfully) staged for the splatfest bit it’s funny how Shiver and Frye are arguing about Big Man doing a collab with the Squid Sisters, yet this song sounds like ‘Ink Me Up’, I could also hear a slight ‘Tide Goes Out’ reference at 0:22
@@Killallmangahaters the splatoon concerts dont put the lyrics on the screen tho? every time time you see the text its just the characters having a conversation. also in the Japanese version of the song the chorus lyrics are just gibberish only the first part is actual words
@@humanreal255 you're right but if you've seen a concert before, they have interludes between songs where they speak to the audience and all of those are subtitled. of course splatoon language is gibberish, but if they perform Big Betrayal, since they are just talking and not signing, i could see the words of the spoken sections being transcribed on the screen above them during their performance. would be neat is all
@@grape448 I meant it mostly as a quippy joke sentence, but, I do genuinely dislike how they wrote Deep Cut here, and you *can* be the original writer and still write something out of character. What you're looking for is canon, which it is. I dislike the interaction because the characters are acting here in a way that is unsubstantiated by how you could expect them to react to it based off previous dialogue (Out of character) and to how any person would when faced with the same circumstance, it's just a little off to me yknow? The easy solution, (that I kinda like!) Is that it's intentionally unrealistic and out of character because it's showbiz their agents told them to do (like shxnon pointed out!) which means it doesn't really matter how they act since it's allll scripted. If you liked the dialog that's great and I'm glad! It's all for fun anyway :D
@@cosmicyoutubeoof I dunno, I think you're kinda going of your personal perception here - this all seems in-character to me? But if you say it's all fun in any case :^p
@@cosmicyoutubeoof okay but they literally are "villains" and have been the most mischievous out of all the idols. I would not put it beyond them being this petty. Plus Big Man still betrayed them so they have a right to be mad and talk shit
this is the FULL VERSION
there’s new verses in the second half of the song (i don’t think we know the lyrics to those tho)
I really like the implication that Shiver just gets interrupted by now or never while she's in the middle of saying something
I wonder if Deep Talk talking to each other will be in the ingame version too

This the energy of that one video called “osu but my parents argue in the background” or something like that
New favourite comment Ever
Second chorus clears my skin and waters my crop ong
😂😂 Perfect description really
I love how the verses are just Shiver and Frye interrogating Big Man and he's frantically trying to explain himself
We got ROBBED of the second verse in the splatfest, by Christ this is good.
"Bakkan Rei" Favorite line
I just noticed this while listening to this through my headphones: you can hear Shiver in the left ear and Frye in the right ear
It's been a staple since the squid sisters
It's pretty wholesome that they got the good ending after the Grand Festival though
"You're the best singer and we want to keep you all to ourselves"
Man
I really thought they would never forgive him

The chorus includes words like "slap across the face", "p£ss off", "idiotic manta ray", so, I'm not that surprised.

It also has a Calamari Inkantation reference between Frye and Shiver’s verse
and the "horn" sounds at the beginning are similar to "bomb rush blush"s intro
This songs hits different with the extended lyrics from the concert and Frye tackling Big Man
Welp, I got a new favorite fest song
im so sad the second verse is cut during ingame because its SOOOO good
i hope the translations for the second half get released soon!!
hopefully they perform this in a live, so theyll have the lyrics on the screen

Yes, we only have the lyrics for the first part. The different lyrics after the loop haven't been released. Maybe in a future CD
I guess we can hear the second part in the lobby with the jukebox
calamari inkantation and bomb rush blush being used in this is so sick
maybe the longer length is implying a ranked splatfest is in the future
Second verse goes hard
Poor Big Man! He just wanted a little collab with the Squid Sisters
just won for team shiver to this
what a fucking BOP

WHO KNEW OUT OF CHARACTER WRITING COULD *SOUND SO GOOD?!?!?!*
how is this out of character writing? They literally write the characters so whatever they write is in-character
I mean I think it’s pretty clear they’re just exaggerating for drama’s sake and making up a scene as a PR stunt
