    I recommend hemp hearts-it has even more protein than chia seeds. Also kefir is a good source of protein. 👍🏽

    Thanks for this. You’re so right, I’m straight on to Instagram with my medal and a pint after a race, I don’t do any of this. The only one I’ve been doing unwittingly is compression with my skinny jeans haha

    • @BenParkes
      @BenParkes  6 лет назад +1

      Haha.. Well some ideas there for you Craig! I to am on Instagram soon after, just having a browse in my tights and walking around. Good luck on your next race!

      Charlie Sandison well I’ve now learnt something new today! Awesome they do.. I love mine! Do you have one? Or just used one before?

    • @charliesandison232
      @charliesandison232 6 лет назад

      ha yeah I have one though got it in the US as well. They are honestly the best bang for buck in terms of treatment and also the easiest/ laziest way to aid recovery. I did hear of someone ordering one and then having a pay a big customs fee when it got to the UK though I was just made aware that they have changed this.

    Really enjoy watching your videos Ben, keep them coming! They help me keep the running bug going...maybe a bit too soon but some tips for keeping going during the winter! Another great, useful video Ben 👍🏽
    Do you use oofos for recovery too?
    Ps. For number 3, you held up 4 fingers. Just so you know I’ve watched it 😉

    • @BenParkes
      @BenParkes  6 лет назад +1

      haha.. that's hilarious. I'm still super tired from Endure 24! That's my only excuse. I do use oofos. I did spend £50 of my own hard earned money on them, so do believe they make a difference, even at that price! They go in my drop bag as well, then everyone can see my skanky toe nails on the journey home!

    Very helpful video thanks! Random question... where is your hat from? I'm looking for a decent one to run in and as you seem to have yours on in a number videos it must be comfortable.

    After a marathon in early Jun, i didn't experience DOMS in my calves. Does that mean that I don't have to foam roll or massage them, or wear calf compression socks to aid recovery, since there's nothing to recover from?

    Thanks for these tips! How long should the recovery period last?

    • @BenParkes
      @BenParkes  5 лет назад

      Depends how long the run you're recovering from is and how hard you ran it. So very hard to say. Marathons can be 3-4 weeks for some people!

    FYI: Your body fat is too high to be that skinny, I noticed you have lower abdominal fat, lay off the carbs and do 100 push-ups everyday....
