Nice video. A dust shoe is often one of the first projects for a new CNC'er. People learn quick that they need dust collection. Several times over the years I bought a shop vac on black Friday to use for my CNC dust collection (with dust separator).
Hi Dave A well made video and the explanations are clear, your site has good design I really like 👍 Thank you very much for sharing and all good for you. Alain from Switzerland
That's are really simple and elegant solution Dave, I wish I'd seen this before I wasted my money on two bits of Chinese crap - but at least I've got plenty of brush strips to use! I noticed that your Z axis mechanism has a crazy amount of flex when you're removing the shoe (0:47 - 0:54), that ain't good for any CNC. I can't make out whether it's the plate or the guide rods, but you should get that beefed up at some point.
Thanks for the reminder, that I still need dust collection....LOL.....Great Video as usual.... What is that Yellow Square (Button) maybe on the bottom of your Router, when you took off the Boot?👍

Yup. They learn quick when they surface their spoil board and have dust floating all around their shop. 😀

Good design and build Dave. I like the 3D flange on top, gotta keep those printers earning their keep…lol.
Thanks for watching Paul. I try to keep the dust knocked off those Ender 3s. 😃

Again nice work Dave, alway enjoy watching
Thanks for watching Marcello. Much appreciated.
love me some free files. Thanks Dave. If Gatton designed it... it's good.

That yellow button is for locking it so it won't spin while you change the bit. Thanks for watching Troy.
OK..... Yea... I got one of those on my Craftsman Router........ Thanks Dave, Gled to see you back to making CNC Videos @@DaveGatton
