A few notes: The performers pretending to play the traditional Japanese instruments in this video are dancers with the Movement Design group. Chidori Yakumo is their director and choreographer. She is the woman performing the fan dance during the breakdown. When Su-metal pulls out the tanto (short blade) she says: "Otome wa… nametara ikan zeyo." ("Maidens… should not be underestimated.") That's a line said by the gangster's daughter in the film 'Kiryu-in Hanako no Shogai' (1982), by actress Masako Natsume. It was released in the USA as 'Onimasa'. Much of the video was shot on location at the Asagaya Shinmei Shrine in Tokyo. Good observation on the part where they apply make-up in the choreography. "Ah, it's right. Always women are actresses. We're not foxes, not deceiving, but maiden-like female foxes." You might consider 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!!!' for your next reaction. Good reaction - you are very perceptive and pretty much got the basis of the song. Rick Wagner has explained more about that already. You are right that their choreography is actually intended to tie in with the lyrics and help with that. 'Megitsune' is possibly their most "Japanese" song, it references mythology about foxes deceiving people and talks of the issues women have faced and having to hide their feelings and tears behind their make up and smiling faces. It starts with the sound of the traditional instruments and the breakdown uses the melody of an old Japanese folk song called 'Sakura Sakura' (cherry blossoms). It is also my own favourite BABYMETAL song - but it is hard pressed by 'Headbanger', 'Shine' and not just a few more. 'Road of Resistance' being blocked is very confusing and very frustrating, especially for you I'm sure. I hope you can get in released - if not other reactors have uploaded reactions onto another platform like Dailymotion, vimeo, bitchute and others and then put a short video on RUclips to direct us towards a link to the reaction. I am glad you are wanting to continue to watch more and find out more about BABYMETAL. There are some good suggestions for more songs in the comments already so I will just second those for now, but there are a lot more to come after those as soon as you want them.
Another reactor said he disputed the copyright claims on a bunch of videos and he got them all back after a while except one. He claimed fair use which it is. There are tons of great Babymetal songs and performances though. I could give you 40 suggestions. I do not mind the claims. For instance this video is claimed which is fine. It is the blocks that bother me. I do not understand why the label is ok with their other music being reacted to, but not that song specifically.

Their live shows are amazing nearly none of the good stuff is on youtube. They sell the concert videos for big money on dvd. That is why all the blocks. @@LouieGrandie The only times we had Moa on guitar for 'Shine' were at her special birthday concerts, BABYMETAL ARISES - BEYOND THE MOON - LEGEND - M - at Portmesse Nagoya on July 6th and 7th. Those show were in her home prefecture. For the LA Forum concert they had an avenger (Riho for that song) as well as Su and Moa on stage, and no Moa on guitar.

You can post RoR up on Dailymotion and link from YT. I would check out Ijime Dame Zettai live from Sonisphere 2014. It was their first big gig outside Asia in front of what many thought would be a hostile crowd. Watch the song and see what happened.
I mean, it is a gimmick, but I think it's executed wonderfully. The girls are great performers and singers. The backup band is very tight. The producers are definitely professionals. It's just a great performance really. I mean it's nice when people write their own music and play it, but there are other talents as well. In this case it's putting on a great performance. Is it a "real" metal band? Well, what is a "real" band anyway? But I don't really care. In the end it's really a question of if it's entertaining. I guess to me I'd be upset if a group was acting like they wrote the music when they didn't. That's lying and deceptive. At least Babymetal is honest that they don't write the music but just perform it as the "Fox god" asks.
It’s an interesting point you touch on. A lot of artists have a gimmick... Babymetal certainly has theirs. I think the main two reasons Babymetal is denigrated and/or dismissed by detractors is 1) the girls don’t write the songs/play the instruments and 2) the upfront employment of a gimmick. There are others of course... but only rarely among them as the basis of the criticism is the actual music itself. It seems to me that’s the main test of a band... and if I can’t base my criticism on that maybe I’m not so much interested in music but rather the personalities of a particular band. I think that might make me something of a gimmick fan.
Hmmm...that's an interesting take. For me, I dismiss criticisms based on item 1. There are plenty of artists who don't write their own material and have singers who don't play an instrument. Item 2 is more interesting for me although that would seem to rule out KISS as being a "real" band and I don't think anyone would do that. I have seen/read cases where people were arguing against BABYMETAL and they focused on the dancing and "squeaky" voices. Again, I think the dancing falls into the gimmick category to which you alluded and can, therefore, be dismissed due the KISS precedent. As far as the voices goes, that particular complaint surely focuses on early Yui/Moa as I don't think that BABYMETAL era Suzuka can be described as having a squeaky voice. Personally, I don't think it matters why you like/dislike a band. If you like them, enjoy them. If not, move on...no reason to denigrate.
What if I told you I don't see Babymetal and a band(/group/act/whatever) with a gimmick ? I just see it as just an other path music can take. Why can't little girls front a metal band ? It's not like: they dress up like aliens or throw blood. Now that's a gimmick, right ? Or maybe I'm just to much used to it and forget how i used to think about it. :-)

They have been around for 10 years and have won 32 international metal awards. One of their songs, Gimme Chocolate was named one of the most important metal songs of the last 10 years. Just last week they were named as #10 in a list of the greatest metal bands of all time. They are the only Asian group to ever hit #1 on Billboard's Rock chart and the onlyu Japanese group to ever make it into the top 20 on Billboard's all inclusive Top 200 chart. Besides their own music they have sung Pain Killer with Rob Halford of Judas Priest and Breaking the Law with Chad Smith of The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their best music video is Karate. A work of art.
