Hey, just curious. Why the Sure Fire X300? Do you have a lot of acreage, or is this a duty gun for you? I've always heard that that light is overkill for inside most homes. Congratulations on your acquisition. I'm still a Wilson Combat 1911 virgin; because I can't justify buying one, when my Dan Wesson Valor is such an excellent gun.
You’re right about it being too much light. Even the Streamlight TLR-1 HL is too much. A pistol light is better off at 500 lumens in my opinion. Too high of linens blows out your night vision which is detrimental when indoors.

sorry no, Dan Wesson is nicer than the TRP by far by this simple fact: No MIm Parts, and its handfitted.
Kydex it's terribly for any plugin not worth a DLC finish. If use only leather works any 1911.. Goes with... Not sure why kydex became so popular...
