wish i could find an affordable tahoe or suburban. In my area people post ads for early 2000 tahoe’s with dents, ripped seats, nasty interior and stock everything for upwards of 5k it’s so retarded
These have always been my favorite body style tahoes/suburban my other family members and happy with their new ones and I'm still pushing my 02 suburban with 35s on her
Being happy and having adrenaline when working on your truck or doing whatever you like most is what makes you live longer. Having nice, amazing looking trucks is my peaceful place. I'm doing the exact same with my 2001 chevy tahoe LT. I love the build btw.
I have a 2004 navy blue Chevy Tahoe. It was my late fiancé's truck and I have lil by lil upgraded a few things. This video made me feel alot better about keeping it 💙 Great video!
damn thats a sexy ass tahoe. i plan on doing mine almost the same way. only thing i will be adding is steel front and rear bumpers. front bumper will have a winch and rear will have the spare tire mount that swings open.
I've had my 2004 Tahoe since new, trying to breathe some life into old girl. Doing an exhaust next month, shorty headers, stock cat y-pipe and cat back exhaust. Lift and tires another 6 months.
Really dope Tahoe, you inspired me to really want to lift my 2000 gmc Yukon. I had been wanting to do something with it but didn't know what.. but now I do
Yo, this ride is dope. I'm all about SUV's. I have a 2004 Trailblazer EXT. I put an SDT 3" leveling kit on it. I put 2" hub centric spacers on it made by Custom built only. I kept the 17" stock wheels for now because the wheels I want from Custom Offsets is on back order forever, LOL. I wrapped those with 33'X10.5" Thunderer Trac Grip M/t tires. I also bought an extra rim and tire for the spare which I put on A roof wrack because the spare compartment that held the old spare wouldn't fit, plus it gave me more clearance for when I go up those hills and mounds. I then put Beilstien shocks with Moog springs in the front. I put moog springs in the rear with Monroe load adjusting coil over shocks in the rear. In total the wheel wells lifted 6" total. I did a lot more but it's too much to list. I get compliments everywhere I go. I am thinking about replacing my "parts getter" 96 Corolla with 250k + with a second generation Tahoe. I've been researching and going on RUclips to see what I like and Tucker; yours is the shit. my trailblazer is very similar in the build and I must say one of the coolest ones I've seen so far. We need to see more SUV's on this site. It's not all about pickup trucks. The back of my truck is like a mobile truck repair shop. I have just about every tool you could want to fix a truck. I'm basically the tools and supply guy when we go fishing, hunting and camping.
I would not change a thing on this truck. Love it... I have an 05 z71 suburban. I want to do this but use the truck to travel the whole east coast and don't know if I should.🤔
IMO this is the perfect lift for this. I cant stand to see lift overdone. Your tahoe is sick man. I am beggining to think about the '06 to avoid major issues that might pop up with the 07-14. Also about the money thing. The look of your car when you go to finally sell it. Looks matter. You will sell it faster. Its more appealing than a stock vehicle when buyers are looking.
Be looking to regear the axles for the bigger tires maybe a set of 4.56 gears.....Straight pipe is to raspy.....Borla XR1 muffler sounds amazing I got long tube headers, off road y pipe with a borla xr1 muffler on my 04 tahoe
I actually added a spare tire carrier from a 2004 HUmmer H2 and used L brackets welded directly to the rear hitch. It came out great. I will add a video to show it off.
bad azz T-HOE bro I feel the same about mine I've been up greading mine to I'm doing everything New and stage 4 best parts I can put doing a lot of crown parts so there strong 💪 plus last no factory parts LoL I'm also putting upgraded big rotors and calipers vented . anyways great looking Tahoe bro glad someone als feels the same way.
So, some people think you are throwing money away in your truck. I know people with pretty new trucks. They are spending around $600 per month on payments, and another $150 for the required insurance (some, more). That's $9,000 per year. They'll never see that back. Go ahead kid, put that money in your paid off rig that you get cheap insurance rates with.
Brandon, you would have to trim alot of the truck away to get them to get a decent amount of steering in it 33's on a 4" is about as big as you can get with out cutting major amounts of metal
That Tahoe looks badass. I think chevy had the styling right in the mid 2000s.
Your right you may never see that money again BUT it feels good driving something that belongs to you that looks good. Keep it up money comes and goes.
Rockdaground mostly goes lol
i can see the money all over the truck and it looks even better than cash
Lol he said nobody is lifting suv he’s never been to TEXAS...
True
I don't think he's been anywhere...
or literally any small town.
I just saw a lifted Tahoe squeeze it's way out of a parking garage with 6'8 clearance
We lift them in Kentucky

Most awkward "peace" at the end of that ever haha cool Tahoe tho
Haha you I would say most mono toned sounds like he's reading a script
Not a big fan of cat eyes on Tahoes. Doesn't fit with the flow of the truck.

I like this new series, I hope it is a steady amount of these. I like the owners perspective and thoughts on their vehicle. kudos

About to set up a 2001 yukon with a 6"suspension lift with 20x12-44 544v with 35 ,12.50 . Seems not many do this to a yukon, lol mostly tahoes
Valerie Loatwall wanting to lift my 00 Yukon as well lol, I agree not many lifted Yukons out there, particularly of this body style.
Valerie Loatwall well you either end up with a lifted 2wd or a lifted AWD instead of a divorced transfer case 4x4 set up so....🤮
Yeah I never see lifted Yukon’s, they are always Tahoe’s
Ben__dover_69 that’s cool I honestly thought all Yukon’s/ Escalades had the awd t cases.
Getting the 2.5 lift kit and putting 20x10 moto metal 970 with 33's on my '03 yukon xl denali. Gonna be nice touch for a daily driver.
damn thats a sexy ass tahoe. i plan on doing mine almost the same way. only thing i will be adding is steel front and rear bumpers. front bumper will have a winch and rear will have the spare tire mount that swings open.
Mark Villegas I'd highly suggest 4 inch lift. 6 just doesnt look right on a Tahoe IMO
Cameron Reynolds i feel you they look stubby over 4 inches
Love it. I have a 2005 Tahoe and i will hopefully be following your footsteps. My Tahoe just sits and i want to mod it soo bad. This is the year.
I've had my 2004 Tahoe since new, trying to breathe some life into old girl. Doing an exhaust next month, shorty headers, stock cat y-pipe and cat back exhaust. Lift and tires another 6 months.
just checked in to shorty headers and thats what we got already but cast instead of thinner steal you get a lot more heat and cabin noise
This lift kit is great and perfect for these tahoes and suburbans
do you know the actual part number for the rough country 4 inch lift that was used in this build??
Really dope Tahoe, you inspired me to really want to lift my 2000 gmc Yukon. I had been wanting to do something with it but didn't know what.. but now I do
I got a 02 suburban I'm about to swap frames with a a 3/4 set up and the 4L85e. Still run my 5.3 threw it and lvl kit it maybe a lift in the future
And have the cat eye conversion done with a 4" cowl hood

37 inch tires are probably the biggest you should consider for tahoes and suburbans.
so you pretty much just need a lift kit and wheels and youll be on the next custom offset video
OG, some of the best builds are some of the simplest
That tahoe sounds good and looks good
love the vids keep up the great work
I just picked up an 07 Yukon and this looks similar to what I have envisioned! Looks great!!!
Pretty dope build I'm actually building up my 03 Tahoe to deal with these Minnesota winners.

How is the quality of the tuff country lifts and how does the ride feel?
Tuff is a good brand. Reviews state a stiffer ride quality, but not much and not a bad ride at all!
Custom Offsets ok cool. Do you guys happen to have the part # for the lift used?
We do not sorry about that!
clean ride
Hey! You live in Wisconsin as well!! I want a Tahoe 2 :)

I love that exhaust! Details?
Cool Tahoe!!! Exhaust diameter?
413PL 3" to a 5" dump tip
Do an HD front end conversion

Nice Tahoe I have a white 2002 Tahoe and want it to look exactly like that, what size of tire is that?
Also is he still running spacers on the truck or is it all rim
Custom Offsets was just on there thank you very much!
What size is the grille led bar and how is it done?
where did you get the grill light bar at?
Should I go 4 in and 33s or 6 in and 35s
