Everytime I see the late Sonny Bono(1935-1998)I see my late stepbrother Mr.Eugene Blaine Montz Jr.aka GENE OR GINO(4-25-1939-3-25-1997) Gene & Sonny could pass as twin brothers.I also remember Gene telling me about how the cafeteria at the old Bethlehem Steel Sparrows Point Plant in Md would be jam packed from most of the guys watching The Hollywood Squares daytime NBC version that Gene couldn.t even go in to get lunch!!
The question they gave Paul Lynde at the 10:00 point must have been pretty rough for him to answer. He *did* make one of his typical quips, but he definitely seemed more thoughtful about how to respond than he usually does.
Loved that old Hollywood Squares theme called Merrill and Bob.s theme which I renamed Peter.s theme after Peter Marshall.(1969-1979)Also like the Stan Worth Squares disco theme 1979-81 as far as the original Squares.
It would have been nice if Geoff Edwards from The New Treasure Hunt had appeared on The Hollywood Squares along with Gene Rayburn Brett Somers Charles Nelson Reilly Richard Dawson Fannie Flagg along with Rose Marie George Gobel & Paul Lynde.
